hate that the solar charger has to be specifically a google nest one because of the proprietary plug used. Whatever is used to power the camera, the plug seems to be backward as the cord end loops out toward the camera instead of flowing back to the mount. having a little difficulty connecting with voice, but other than that the cameras are good.

I’ve got wired nest cameras and the new wireless door bell. The nest camera battery has some really great features and the camera is great. My disappointment is in the battery life, it has needed charged 1 time and told me today we have 2 days left… that means 2 charges in 1 week. I’m going to return and buy another wired.
Hi Irishfire79, thanks being an advocate of our products. We are sorry for the poor battery life with your Nest Cam (Battery).
Battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and camera settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your camera by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Here are some typical scenarios: - Busy - About 1.5 months battery life (about 20 - 25 recorded events per day) - Typical - About 3 months battery life (about 9 - 12 recorded events per day) - Quiet - About 7 months battery life (about 2 - 4 recorded events per day)
If you´re willing to try, we recommend checking the frequency of events (per day) that you get with your Nest Cam (Battery). If the short battery life isn´t related to the frequency of events, then we may need to have a closer look at your Nest Cam (Battery) and understand what may be causing it. Great quality cameras with easy install. The cameras have a good quality picture at night. Very satisfied with the product will recommend to friends/family
Hi Jenematalia, thanks for reaching out to our support team. We´re sorry to hear that Nest Cam (Battery) and Nest Aware didn't meet your expectations.
For the best experience with your Nest Cam (Battery), we recommend getting the Nest Aware subscription, as it provides more value for your money with features that include 30 days of Video History, 24/7 continuous recording, access to clips and time lapses and even customizing your own activity zones. You won't ever have to worry about missing any events as these videos and clips are all saved onto the Cloud. All these features can be viewed and controlled at the tip of your fingertip using the Google Home App.

Very good cameras, do experience some latency from time to time which can be frustrating, I do not think it is my WIFI network, rather then ongoing integration of Nest and Google h/w and s/w. I would recommend to those who have done their research into their needs and can verify these meet them.
Hi there, JimQ. We’re glad to have your feedback, and we appreciate that you like Nest Cam (battery). We’re sorry to hear that your experience is below satisfaction. We’ve taken note of your feedback to work on improving our products and services. Meanwhile, we suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app that may improve camera playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the camera history view. You can change the settings like adjusting video quality, wake-up sensitivity, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas.

I purchased this because I wanted to mount it in a place where I couldn't easily get power to. So far so good. Battery life seems to be great. Got it and installed it the day it was released and still have an estimated 4 months of battery life left. Impressed with the picture quality and ability to pick-up motion and determine if it's an animal or person.

The camera overall is very good. I problem is that it does not work with the Nest app. So you have to use Google home if you want to use the old cameras with the new. With google home you can not use the history with the ond cameras
Hi randerle, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize if you’re unable to add your Nest Cam (Battery) in the Nest app.
The new Nest Cam (Battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, and Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.
Your feedback is important to us as it will greatly help us understand our customers’ needs. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always reach out to our support team. We’d be more than happy to help here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I have 6 Google cameras so far and I think this last purchase (Google outdoor wireless/battery) will be the last. It's sad as I was hoping to buy 2 more outdoor but I'm now re-assessing other cameras. I hope Google and Bestbuy stops selling these as it is shortchanging their customers. Aside from removing most of the original Nest features like the ability to scrub videos, if you look at Google community you will see that there are lots of issues around the battery options. The wired are OK. I've never had problems with Google/Nest cameras (I think I have all of them except the floodlights). This one purchase for my 2nd time charging it (about 6 months out from purchase) took way past 12 hrs. I strongly believed I've got a defective one but Bestbuy wouldn't honor the warranty since I did not purchase the GeekSquad plan. So I guess there's no point anymore to buy directly from BestBuy then. If you must buy it, at least purchase directly from Google so you'll have the history and the possibility of getting support. I'm now stuck with this one odd camera that I would have to leave overnight for charging in the future which is not supposed to be.

Easy to use and mount. Take cameras out of the box scan QR Code follow directions on phone and thats all there is to it. Video quality are very clear and audio as well. As of now i have 2 Nest outdoor cameras, 1 nest flood light camera, 1 i door camera and the google hub. Everything works amazingly together.

I’ve had this camera for about a month with no issues! Very easy to set up and user friendly. Easy to install and I was worried about needing to charge it all the time. So far, it hasn’t needed a charge yet! Have already purchased a 2nd camera.

Works great! I get clear pictures, videos, in color with sound which I absolutely love in the mornings when the birds are all singing their happy tunes!! I have a very large area of yard I can see as well as my patio, I’m glad I went with Google Nest!

The google Nest cameras are easy to configure and install into a Google Home for monitoring. The iCloud storage is a reasonable price and by whole home, not camera #’s. Had a number of Nest cameras for years and adding.

its a okay product, I bought wired one and this one, i think wired one is better, because the battery wont last very long if you are in a busy street .
screen image is not very clear

The battery life is no where near advertised. I get about a week on a charge. They could last much longer if there was a way to trigger them on and off with Google Home Automations or even a simple turn on when away, but sadly no such setting. Can't even schedule them on or off at certain times of the day. People have been complaining about this since they came out, but Google has yet to remedy this.
