Setup was easy, picture quality is excellent. Battery life is about a month on a full charge, in the app it will tell you when to charge the camera. Audio is good.

I've been using nest and other cameras for a very long time and I can tell you whomever says that these cameras are no good have no idea what they're talking about and are clueless these by far are the best I have used the clarity is out of this world the size of the cameras and the size of the magnets are outstanding! Even though the cameras are large they blend in very well, the speakers are also out of this world the clarity of the sound I can now talk to my dogs and they do listen through the cameras. Yes there's a new system to be used apart from the old nest cam but what do you expect it's a new company we get used to something it's hard to let go I understand but these cameras have outstanding clarity.

Easy setup and work very well. Tried using it with the Wasserstein solar panel (high output version) and that worked well in a very high traffic commercial parking lot. After about a 1.5 weeks I got a notification that my battery had dropped to about 70%. Pretty good as the panel was in a shaded area with no direct sunlight. Ultimately I choose to get the power cable so I could have continuous recording as that is the only way to have all video instead of just clips of activity.

The battery on these cameras last a long time and the video quality is great. The major downside is that they don’t work on the nest app, so you have to check history on Google Home instead.
Hi Drew, thanks for your time sharing your feedback with us. We're glad to know that you find the Nest Cam (battery) great.
We’re aware that longtime Nest users enjoy viewing their Nest camera feeds from the Nest app, however, our priority with our new Nest cameras was building a complete experience in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices.
We request for your patience as we’re working on a seamless solution. If you need help with any concerns about the Nest camera, feel free to let us know here and we’ll gladly help you the best we can: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I just got the Nest battery camera; would it be a lot simpler to have the new cameras appear in the NEST APP until such time that the HOME APP is improved? And to be honest we all know that is a minimum of 6+ months and even then, not all the functions will get migrated. I'm just going on the Google's track record here. 1 step forward 4 steps back seems to be their way. This is so disrespectful to the current customer base. These new cams are so different because of the Google HOME app that they should have never had the NEST name connected to them. ... just my opinion. Shame on you Google. You have more resources than just about any company, and this is what you release?
Hi there Haywood, thanks for trying the new Nest Cam (Battery). We're sorry to hear about your disappointment with the move to the Google Home app, and with any difficulty you may be having, migrating to a Google account.
We wanted to make the Google Home app the one place where you can control all your favorite Google Nest devices and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant. Here are some benefits you can get by using the Google Home app with your Nest Cam (Battery): - Automatic security protections such as Suspicious activity detection, 2-Step Verification and Security Checkup. - Your Google Nest devices and services will work together. For example, if you have a Nest Cam and a Nest Hub, just say, ""Hey Google, show me the backyard camera” to cast your camera stream to your display without any additional setup. - One account to sign into both the Nest and Google Home apps. - Your homes and home members will be aligned across the Nest and Google Home apps. - You may set up your Nest cameras to the Google Home app. Check out this help article: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9893532

Was kinda skeptical about how these would work out doors during the winter, but they did great! Awesome product! Well definitely use google products for home security going forward.
