Definitely returning it and buying the corded one, not paying additionally for a cord that should be included with the cordless if battery will not last long. Super disappointed!

I am using them outdoors and they have performed great, down to 8 deg F so far. The price for a multipack during a sale they had made it an easy decision.

Installation is a breeze, you can plug it in for uninterrupted use and reserve the battery if there's a power outage. Yes, it costs more but you get what you pay for. If you're simply looking for the cheapest option, this is not it. If you want the best option, this is it... in my opinion.

Ive been using it inside and just move it from room to room by attaching the base to the air return for the HVAC. Battery life is pretty good too

The Nest Cam (Battery) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

We’re also focused on giving our customers value for the price, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet.
