Had to return, too many cons for 'security' use

I wish Googe made the following limitations extremely clear before I wasted my time - 2 pack camera only comes with 1 cable - 10 minute person notification for alerts. Will not be alerted if someone breaks into your home less than 10 mins after you leave - on battery mode, PIR sensor used to waku up camera seems to have a distance of 10ft (maximum sensitity). Too short as a thief will not be detected until they are out of frame if they walk quickly pluses: unit feels very high quality and magnet is very very strong

Nest camera notifications are a little different. Because we don’t want to bombard you with alerts, you might get fewer than you expect if your camera is pointed at a busy spot. You can choose to receive notifications for everything your camera detects, or choose notifications for only certain types of activity. Also, it only takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge the Nest Cam (battery). If there’s a need for more than one charging cable, or if you want the camera to be wired with continuous power, you can go with the optional Nest Cam (battery) Weatherproof Cable (in 5 m or 10 m) to keep your Nest Cam connected.

NO vehicle detection at night

First One Crapped Out After 1yr, Used My Warranty, Got A New One For Free. Second One Crapped Out After 12 Days. Went To Best Buy (which they’re amazing!) & Swapped It Out Yet Again (Because It Was Still Within The 14 Day Return Window)… Got A Third New One & Craopex Out After 30 Days!!! Went Back For A Full Refund. Do Not Buy The 2nd Generation Battery Wireless Option Ones!!! They Suck…. Now I Highly Dooooo Recommend Their Wired Nest IQ 1st Generation w/ Face Recognition 4K Outdoor/Indoor Cameras!!! I Have 2 Of Those For Over 6yrs Now & Absolutely No Complaints, Except The Fact That They Discontinued Them!!!

Recharging them is easy to pull and place back on. The cloud recording has be slow to record and not record certain events.

We recommend checking your network for possible congestion. Disconnecting some of your connected devices can help free up some bandwidth space and enable you to test if you will get better cloud recording speeds. Once you verify congestion, contacting your Internet service provider to check your connection and upgrade your bandwidth is highly recommended.
Video recording is triggered by motion detection on Nest Cam (Battery), and this can be affected by changes in the light level, and shadows moving across the frame like when a cloud moves in front of the sun. This also includes other movements within the camera's field of view like trees or bushes swaying. If you're not getting any alerts or notifications, we recommend trying out the steps below:
1. Change the Activity Zones on your camera. You can delete your existing Activity Zone and create a new one in any area within your camera's field of view. Just make sure that none of the zones you create overlap.
2. Change the angle of your camera and account for the lighting in the surrounding area.
3. Restart your Camera.

I installed one in the shed. The other two are covering the entry doors of our home. The battery powered cameras allow for flexibility as to where they can be installed. The battery life is very reliable.
