I bought this because my old thermostat was hard to program. I love being able to access it from my phone even when I am home.

The Nest thermostats are fantastic. I have a lot of Nest products in my home (including the cameras) and have been very satisfied. The ability to remotely connect and monitor usage and change the temperature is great. The integrations with Google Home and IFTTT are icing on the cake. I give it 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons: 1) The learning part of this "learning" thermostat is next to useless. Several of my friends also have this thermostat and everyone has complained about how poorly it learns schedules for your comfort. You'll need to go into the app and set your own temperature schedules. 2) The thermostat requires more power to run than some setups will provide -- even setups where the thermostat is otherwise perfectly functional. Some HVAC units only power while the unit is running, which means the Nest will first shut off WiFi and then eventually go to sleep. I understand the need for constant power, but my annoyance is that the solution is not found anywhere in the Nest support documentation. I ended up finding a thread on a 3rd-party site where someone explained connecting the Common wire to supply proper power. Why couldn't Nest explain that?

I am an IT guy, not a mechanical guy, and this was still dead simple to install. Lined up the colors and that was it. Runs well, works great with my current home automation and plays perfectly with my Google Home.

This thermostat is so easy to use and simple to install.

This is the second one I have, this one is a bit slower in learning a temperature range.

The only issue with the auto away is coming home to a hot house. Have to get used to using the app to turn it back on when on way back home.

Great thermostat for saving energy when you're not home or if you just want to track how you use air/heat. I love it for being able to change it from your phone in case you forget to turn it down when leaving.

You can control this thing from the app, from anywhere. It has a lock out feature that prevents people from turning it up or down to high or to low and of course has the learning ability.

Initially setup with a nest account , then notified I had to sign with Google. After using the nest for 3 months, it asked for a nest password which didn’t work , but told me to migrate to google. Signed in to google, however that didn’t work and I cannot control the thermostat with the app

Great thermostat I recommend this to anybody you can operate it from your phone when you're not at home it's smart and let you know when you're saving energy is just an all-around great product I recommend it

We absolutely love our Nest. It's so nice to be able to do the programming with our phones, and we love all the options. We also appreciate the information we received from the Best Buy employees we spoke with.

Love the Nest thermostat! So useful that it “learns” what I want my temperature to be set at, in addition giving me the ability to change it from anyone away from my home as well. Highly recommend!

I love this thing. I am already seeing the savings on my power bill. Easy to setup/install. I was able to get a $100 rebate through my local gas company. After the rebate I only paid $100! Recommend to everyone.
