Then I got a 75 dollar rebate a few weeks after my purchase, which basically was only a little bit over 100 dollars. That's nearly a 150-dollar-discount..."I'LL TAKE IT!!" It was sold at full 4 days after it was no longer supported by Google & has done nothing but malfunction. It is under Google Nest warranty but no number or method of contact exists & now I am still paying for a thermostat that will not connect to WiFi & app. Just praying it does not go out completely with temps in the 20s right now …Best Buy should be ashamed

Now its November and the unit is dead and does not work. Died on the coldest morning we had so far. Started by the battery slowly not keeping full charge. Only lasted 3 months and is outside the return window and google seems like there not guna do anything about it.

Lasted less than 45 days, worst in class warranty

Purchased a brand new Nest thermostat in November of 2023. By January 2024 it was not functioning correctly. The defective return policy at Best Buy is 30 days, so I pursued the warranty claim with Google. Google's warranty claim process and warranty is worst in class. The process to file the claim was 30 plus minutes with 3+ phone transfers. The support team insisted on trouble shooting, even after I informed them that I went through all the troubleshooting steps on my own (another 45 minute process) When they finally accepted the warranty claim, they deciede to send a refurbished thermostat. The brand new thermostat that I purchased lasted less than 45 days and Google sends a refurbished thermostat as a replacement. Very disappointing.
