The learning mode is pretty good, but sometimes it wont let you overide. For instance its heating the house to 68, but i want it warmer so i turn it up. A few minuts later, it turns it back to 68. Support has not been good. I would not buy another one.

Last 8 months the app is always offline, so i can never use it in the app. Customer service has not fixed the problem in 8 months pretty ridiculous.

AC repairman verified it was rhe Nest. Contacted company. They verified the issue was a batch of bad nest. However no recall even though they know. Im out the repair cost. While it was working no engery savings as promoted.

Paid pro to come and troubleshoot. Verdict: it’s junk and google/nest won’t stand behind their product. Lots of similar experiences out there if you do your research.

Have had 2 units within 18 months just stop connecting with w5 error and Nest support (sorry “made by Google” now that they dropped all the good stuff about Nest) doesn’t exist.
