But I don't like the new size and shape; it's bigger and taller. The old wifi 3-pack was shorter, cylindrical, more compact and sat more stably. The new shape is much easier for a pet to knock over.

Great improvement on WiFi, Google setup less ideal

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The actual performance of the mesh wifi is significantly better than the previous version, however going from the previous version, however it doesn't seem like Google thought that anyone would upgrade the wifi. Had to delete all of the cameras, wifi, and nest protect devices from the app and re-install them before everything worked again. Was overly (and unnecessarily) time consuming. There should be a better way to replace a mesh system and this is not what I would consider normal as our other property (using an Aruba device) I could swap networks with ease.

Bad attempt at 6E

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation is not easy, the software seems to not know much about the link between nodes/routers, after you get past that internet is good at main router but it seems that nodes only connect to main router and not between them therefore you get slower speeds constantly in different spots, eero is way better at managing connections, and is mostly on sale so i would just get eero or something more stable

It is important to check the placement of your Wi-Fi router and point, which are vital to have reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
It may also be helpful to try the following steps to see if the Wi-Fi performance will improve:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
- Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.

Excellent Mesh System for WiFi 6

Bought it to replace previous generation (which frankly was not as stable as I had hoped). One benefit of all Google WiFi/Nest devices I have owned is their ability to work with nearly all wifi devices I have at home. Competitor's products (which I have tried and returned) - particularly for WiFi 6 - just don't. And the new one was by far the easiest Nest WiFi product to set up of all the ones I have used.

The other Plus side of having this product is that you can remotely monitor and manage your network settings. I bought these as open box for a fraction of the price!

But the software sometimes freeze and WiFi just knocks off and restarts. Google Home app sometimes is not working as expected too.

Great consistency for all 3 floors

I was using the net gear Wi-Fi 6 router but found that it would drop a good bit on the 3rd floor. Switch to the mesh network and get consistent speeds of over 6 to 700 MBS on the third floor with nodes at each one of the levels.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We got this to help with wifi coverage at one end of our downstairs, we had one of the original nest mesh systems but it work when we switched to TMHI and have only had that gateway for a few know and its works ok but there were weak spots. We recently saw that the new ayatens workes well with TMHI so we figured it couldnt hurt to try, its not perfect but it has helped with whole coverage and outside cameras for-sure!!!!

This one is amazing. This one gives me much higher speed. I get 500+ speed at the main access point at the modem, the furthest access point gives me 300+. This is exactly what I needed. It’s pretty pricey but works great.

Might try a competitor or wait for cheaper wifi 7. I do get my full bandwidth down from the ISP now. An improvement over the regular nest.
