Good if you want devices as opposed to WiFi mesh

Posted .Hi there, Kato. Sorry you're running into slower speeds with the Nest Wifi Pro. There could be a few things impacting your connection — here are some ways to improve this:
1. Your device is far from your router: often moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection: if possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards: speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

Not great if working from home

I upgraded to the faster speeds and wanted to use mesh wifi. I saw google and thought because of the name they would be a great router, but this is not the case. I work from home and this wifi was great when it was working lighting fast, but all my calls were pretty choppy and I don't live in a big place. When it was working it was great but for work it was terrible. If I didn't work from home maybe this is a great system since the UI is really easy to use.

CANNOT HANDLE INTERNET SPEED OVER 1 GB/second

If you’re like me and looking for a reliable mesh WiFi network that was top of the line and capable of your new high speed internet (2 or 5 GBps) this product is WRONG FOR YOU. I made this mistake. It’s a $400 mistake. Don’t be like me. Do your research. There are much better wifi products out there for mesh networks at speeds over 1 GB.

I haven't had any issues as of yet. The set up was super easy. I think just about anyone can install this router.

Posted .Hi there, JoseG. We appreciate your feedback. We regret to hear your experience with the connectivity of your Nest Wifi Pro. If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of the combo or putting it in Bridge mode to avoid Double NAT as it may cause connectivity issues. When you enable bridge mode on your ISP combo, it'll turn off its NAT and allow your Wifi device to be the sole device that performs NAT. If you have 2 separate ISP devices, a modem and router, turn off and unplug the ISP-provided router, then connect your modem directly to your Nest Wifi Pro.

Don't work at all

It is the usual story. Big company thinks they know what you need more than you do, and when you try to deviate at all their offshore support can't help because it isn't in their script.

For anyone else, no so great. The Google home app is very limited when it comes to features and settings. The mesh connection is less than desirable. Advertised as wifi 6 the speeds are very inconsistent and your devices will constantly be switching between 2.4 and 5ghz bands as theres no way to lock it in leaving you aggravated and cheated if you have any connection greater than 54mbps. I was fooled by the pro wording on the box. Don’t be like me.
