Google WiFi "meh"

One of the three AP's wouldn't activate. Google Support process was awful and required me to return all 3 AP's, making me return it to the store to avoid their process. My connectivity has been spotty for a few of my rooms. This was never an issue until I got the n ewer Wi-Fi Pro 6e units.

1Gb NIC let down

I upgraded from the original google wifi and mostly same same (would not necessarily recommend an upgrade unless you need to foe some reason). The real let down is that the wired network interface is limited to 1gb so not much future proofing. I have a 10gb fiber connection at home and its disappointing to see a 850mb max connection speed

Great speeds and coverage

I have no dead zones on my property. The nice thing is you can run an ethernet cable between all of these to connect them for an even better connection

For anyone having issues during setup on iphone, be sure to turn off private ip from your wifi settings during setup

Fraud popup in setup beware

They have hit my discover card 5 times for 49.95 in the last week. Had to cancel my card and report fraud just a headsup dont sign up its theft . The system works great though

Sadly disappointed for the first time in long time

Had to disconnect one of of the extension pods due to severe lag between them — over 800ms lag time while trying to game on it. Definitely requires Ethernet direct connection between pods which defeats the whole purpose of a mesh.

1. Your device is far from your Wifi router: often moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved speeds.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection: if possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards: speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it’s likely it won’t support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.
