I absolutely love this little device. It is just as good as a Roku, only its much less expensive and I can stream things directly from my phone. It's great for showing off photos, watching things on netflix or even just chilling with background music. And for the price, you can't go wrong.

Works great, connects with iPhone quite well. I didn't realize it needed to be plugged into a wall, not particularly fond of that. Also, somewhat limited with what apps and such you can stream to TV. Otherwise, it's served its purpose for me!

Chromecast is installed in just a few minutes and works exactly as advertised. You can cast (send to your tv) just about anything in youtube, netflix, etc. with ease. Love the product.

I needed an extra Chromecast for my den and this cheaper Gen 1 refurbished model was perfect. I don't even understand why I would buy the new one if I can keep finding these little beauties on sale. Don't let the refurbished label scare you. This thing came to me still in the box with plastic wrap still on it. I wonder if its even refurbished at all. Same functionality at a cheaper price? No brainer.

I have a Sony TV that only allows android to mirror content directly from website and this device addresses that need. I can now also watch netflix in my room tv using my ipad to mirror the content. Easy to use device. Recommended to those without a wifi tv ready tv or wants to mirror content from ipad without buying more expensive device.

Chromecast is a really good way to cast and stream videos on TV. Veryveasy to use as well.

This is one of those incredibly necessary devices for anyone who pays for services like Netflix. I have other devices that are capable of streaming to my TV but by far this is the easiest and most reliable one. We travel with our chromecast to hotels to be able to stream while we're away. We don't have to pay extra room charges to stream some movies or hurdle around a small iPad. This is a necessity and if you don't have one you need to get one.

I've always been interested in getting a Chromecast since I heard about it for the first time, and it was really nice to get it refurbished at a reduced price. It came with everything and looked like it was brand new, and it works great. Haven't played around with all the features yet, but I'm looking forward to using it for a variety of things.

Refurbished models are just as good as new in my opinion. No moving components. This is a must have eben if you have a smart TV. It's just easier to play Netflix, YouTube, and music. Most TV interfaces are clunky and slow. This'd is just a plug and set up and even easier to use. Especially if you have a projector like me.

It's a nice way to display pictures from your computer or phone on you television. I bought one for my parents and one for my in-laws. Simple to install.

Awesome device - now can easily stream non-broadcast college B-Ball and Hockey games - works perfectly. Couldn't be happier. Item looked absolutely brand new (it was a refurb - could not tell it had ever been opened!)...would buy again in a split second....

Very useful little device. Plugged it in and had it working in no time. Would be good if it had its own interface that you could control to browse the internet or local media.

This was actually my second purchase of the item. Worked well enough that I purchased a second for the guest bedroom. A dedicated remote would be so much nicer but for the sale price, hard to turn down even if you have to keep your phone connected to a charger while using.

This is the refurbished version of the first Google Chrome cast. There is absolutely no difference between the two. All items in full price unit are included in the refurbished one. Item works flawlessly. 5 months so far. I will amend this if unit has any problems in the future.

No internal menu or apps like Firestick or Roku - it does nothing but duplicate an Android phone. This would seem to make it worth less (and so, should cost less... but no). I only purchased this because my new Nexus 6p inconveniently does not support USB to HDMI nor standard Miracasting. BUT, since there are MANY more app on Android this means many more sources for the big screen. Some Android apps can cast on their own while others require casting the entire phone (which means you can't use the phone for something else while say watching a TV program). It also has a great screen saver. I just wish it had some smart features on it's own (Netflix, YouTube, etc). Lacking this really dates it... so, I removed one star.

Got this as a gift. My sister wanted it and enjoys it! She has not had any issues with it. It plugs right to the side of the TV and she can access her shows. Simple product.

Now I don't have to fiddle with HDMI cords anymore. This little gadget make watching movies easy , you can cast from your smart phone, tablet or computer. The price was also a good bonus at Best Buy.
