I love this thing, it's great! However I tried so many times to get my TCL TV to work with the star button so I can put my TCL remote away and use the Google remote with it's voice assistant and things like that, but I can't!
So I'm forced to use HDMI-CEC with my TCL TV remote to control the streamer.
It's smooth, quick and I'm happy with it, but I can't use the remote which is a bummer.

The Google TV that I grew to use and love just got better. Performance is noticeably better than the previous gen, and the "find my remote" feature is an absolute must when you have children at home (you won't lose it again).

Seamlessly integrates with YouTube TV, and any other app you want. Intuitive. Streams all your Google Photos. Easily cast anything you want. Perfect product. My highest recommendation.

Works so much better than the previous versions. Zero issues whatsoever. And the free channels are great. Definitely the best out of the ones that are out there. I've had fire stick and Roku. This is by far the best and you don't get a million ads. Plus it keeps track of your watched so you can easily pickup where you left off.

Have been a Chromecast user for some time. Finally took the leap to move to the 4K streamer for our 4K tv. Which I would have done it sooner. The remote is better as is the sound and video. Happened to catch it on sale which was a bonus.

I always come away impressed with Google's chromecast and streamer products. One of the best things about this is the layout of content on the home screen, where it gives you easy access to plenty of free tv streaming in addition to the normal apps like netflix, prime, hbo, ect.
Where it beats the apple tv: I love the option for ethernet.
Where it fails against the apple tv: The interface can get a little stuttery at times. The picture brightness seems to be darker than when I use an apple tv in the same port on my tv.

I am in the process of replacing all of my 4k Roku sticks with these units. The interface is far superior to the Roku and does not have intrusive ads on the home screen. I had a number of issues with the Roku requiring rebooting due to black screens when changing apps. The only area for improvement would be including the HDMI cable in the box. Highly recommended.

Pretty decent streaming box. I appreciate the ability to have express VPN on it, kinda buggy software but hey that's Google. If you're in the ecosystem this is a good buy/upgrade for a Chromecast 4k

So far I have liked the speed and ease of use, I upgraded from the chromecast. It was pretty easy to setup and it loaded some of my apps from the chromecast. Only downside is you have still have wires that show, but I was able to work around that.
