Please buy a protection kit for this camera!!! My son dropped it on a rock within 1 hour of getting it for his birthday. Luckily the screen had a protector on it that took the impact rather than the lens. IQ seems good and it is certainly lightweight.

I don't go exploring too much, but I still use this camera to do church and road trip videos. Super simple design, I love that I can put it in my pocket with no difficulty. And the video quality is amazing.

Cons: Short non replaceable battery. Overheats when using. Overheats when charging. Pros: Great quality and variety of options. Explanation: If there are short events that you want to catch all the action of, then this is the camera for you. It's great for roughly 45min - 1.5hours depending on temperature and video quality (30 min on 4k 1h45min on 720). If you want to record for longer than that, you will need a second gopro or wait for the device to recharge. I haven't accurately timed the charging and it doesn't always let you know it's done. It will overheat and freeze when its charged for too long. Charging while in operation is not a viable solution because the frame it's housed in for mounting doesn't allow the access panel to be opened, and if you work around that, then it just overheats and shuts off. I've heard that in colder temperatures the battery discharges much faster, and in forums, several people have reported not being able to keep it cool enough to charge and use. The wireless connection to the app usually needs 3 or 4 attempts before it connects, but once it does it gives you a great preview for staging purposes. I got it for its small size to attach to my helmet and i dont feel any significant wind drag from it. But overall i think it's a great almost. Hopefully next version will make it more usable.

The picture quality of the GoPro is awesome. I've used it on rafting trips, hiking trips, skiing trips. My only complaint is, I wished the battery lasted a little longer. It only last for about 3 hours.

Excellent GoPro like always, great quality, small and you can attached everywhere. The downside it’s the battery life, to long term this start to loose the live and you can’t replace it

The go pro hero 5 session is a good action camera that takes 4K video. It has nice functionality and can even operate via voice commands. It is a little pricey, but has all the bells and whistles that you could want in such a small form factor.

I used this puppy for work. We have a 8" diameter pipe that is 725 feet down in the ground. We have a pump installed all the way to bottom that went bad. Once we removed the bad pump, we could not get the other pump all the way down to the 725 foot mark, was afraid the pipe broke. So we purchased this camera and installed on the end of a 2 inch pipe and pushed it all the way down 725 feet. It videoed all the way down, even through the water. Saved allot of excavation time. Plus we could even hear us talking at the top of pipe saying the depth as we pushed it down. Camera still works and the pipe was not crushed or broken. Remarkable camera!

Used for autocross in the racecar. Also used to film baseball game.

Bought this for the helmet for my dirt bike... Love it. Great video. Tried it on a few more things and was great. If you follow directions, and use it as it should be then you'll have a great time!

After seeing so many GoPro videos on YouTube, I thought maybe even I could operate this camera. It is so simple, I already feel like a pro. And the camera is so good, even my mistakes look good.

I've only been able to use it a couple of times. Both times, paddle boarding. It was easy to setup and use. I love the voice commands capability and that it is compatible with my IPhone.

This gopro integrates well with smartphone apps that make its use even simpler than expected. 4K results are outstanding for such a small camera. Voice control is a nice add on feature!

Takes clear video and photos. Love the ability to take it anywhere. My only gripes are the app, which is glitchy, and the battery life, which is short. The camera gets very hot and eats the battery in a short amount of time.

Bought one of these for myself and loved it so much I bought a second one as a gift. Picture quality is excellent and the waterproof feature if terrific. A must have for everyone.

I purchased this to take videos when we took horses to the lake. It works very well in the water environment. Videos are great and still pictures taken from them are not bad.

My kids loved this. Takes great videos, with good quality.

This was an impulse buy the day before we left for Costa Rica. We used it everywhere we went - ziplining, atv touring, snorkeling, boating, etc. Quality of videos is great, easy to use!

so far I am extremely impressed with this little camera. It takes great video, has a long battery life, and is extremely small. It is more expensive than others but worth it!

I hid this using a mount on the ceiling, turned off the external lights and used it to record my engagement proposal to my now fiancé - worked perfect, great clarity, easy to use.

This worked exactly the way I wanted it to!! It was easy to setup, use and takes amazing video. I have it set up for video on a stand, so don't know much about motion video.
