Not sure about the complaints, but I'm a heater-per-room person, and I real like this heater. Of all my heaters, this heats a room the fastest. True, it isn't traditionally shaped. Yes, if you don't check the listed dimensions, it may be larger or smaller than expected. No smell. Quiet. Lots of heat.
Bought it to heat a small bathroom but immediately promoted it to taking the initial chill of my largest rooms. Does this in way less than 30 minutes. Very recommended, especially if on sale. Got mine at an amazing $20+ tax.
I wanted a red heater; seems like I got a good one.

Was bigger than I expected I wanted something smaller to fit on the school bus I am a driver and it is winter and need heat on my bus

Worst heater I have ever ! The only thing that I like about this heater is that it looks like Kenny on South Park.
