Collected a few 45 singles as a kid.If you just got into or returning to vinyl like me.This is a great buy came with a digital download. So made the purchase a no brainer. If more artist included a free download with their vinyl purchase it would buy nothing else.Sounds great on a old school radio shack record player through my Marshall Stanmore I also bought from Best Buy.

Great album! Metallica returning to form. It's not as good as the Black Album, but a huge, huge improvement over what they've been putting out for the last 10+ years.

Went to Best Buy as a get out of the house activity and while wandering around I found a stash of LP's!! to my surprise the latest Metallica LP was there and after doing the usual online check as you do against Amazon to see what the right price was, I find BestBuy was selling it cheaper!! no brainer!! home it came with me and presented to the wife as a just because present. No dog house tonight :)

As subjective as opinions are, I am disheartened with Metallica's latest studio release, "Hardwired: To Self-destruct".
I have been a fan since they originally released "Kill 'Em All" on Important Records and have championed all of their releases through the "Black" album.
With the release of "Load", I am of the opinion that they truly lost their way. It wasn't until "Death Magnetic", under the production leadership of Rick Rubin, that they delivered an album with the heft and weight of "The Black" album and its predecessors.
I anticipate being a fan of the band for the duration of their career. In addition, I have a solid understanding of the tolerances of our ever changing music business (the last 16 years in particular). I have worked as a producer-mixer for major labels for 30 years now.
I was fortunate to work with Bob Rock in the studio here in Los Angeles, (producer of "The Black" album and the vast majority of post-Black album releases until "Death Magnetic) with an artist that I respect, and Bob played us "St. Anger" after having just returned from mastering. Metallica worked hard and with intention to deliver a stripped down back to basics vibe with "St. Anger", yet they wandered much too far in the opposite direction of their post "Black Album" releases.
"Death Magnetic" was a solid release that stoked the embers of hitting their stride once again on their artistic journey. I was very pleased with it as a whole. "Death Magnetic" was a step in the right direction for the overall arc of Metallica's career and art from my die-hard fan perspective. It was not a stellar release, although they demonstrated that they had captured a good bit of their consistent "lightning in a bottle" magic from "Kill 'Em All" through "The Black" album. Nevertheless, "Hardwired: To Self-destruct" has a small shimmer of the power and heft of "Death Magnetic" and the overall dominating prowess that is Metallica.
In conclusion, I truly hope Metallica continue to journey forward and stretch and explore the reaches of their artistry. They are a significant force in rock history and I hope they remain formidable in the years and releases to come!

Metallica's latest album is amazing. You can tell they have returned to their roots while still keeping a modern sound. I originally purchased this album as an MP3 download, and when I fell in love with it, I went out and bought it on vinyl. It sounds even better! I highly recommended this album to old and new Metallica fans alike!

This album is one of their finest in some time I love everything they do but this just feels right and gives you heavy and returns to the sound you love from them. I LOVE this album and it just feels right

Certainly better than Death Magnetic or St. Anger, it's one of Metallica's best records in years. As an added bonus, the LP comes with a digital download, so I can listen at home on my turntable and on the go through iTunes.

Everything was perfect as it always is at Best Buy. From the package to the content everything was like expected and the people that work there are always polite. That is why I love shopping at Best Buy.

The 180 gram vinyl discs spin like champs with no noticeable warping. The sound quality is big and bold. I'm unaware how this was recorded, if there's an analog chain or not, but this record sounds fantastic.
