I was looking for a new tv, I already own two Oled and was skeptical but this tv is amazing. Not only is it 144hz and incredible for gaming the picture is on par with a Oled. This also has 40w speakers no need for sound bar. Bright picture, perfect darks. Since I paid quarter of what my other tv costs I decided to purchase 2!!!

This is a good tv. Owning Sony x80k 50, Sony X90, & LG B2 i have this tv can keep up with 2 & outperforms 1. THIS IS NOT AN OLED so do nit expect super black. Expect super bright. Im not a fan of bright TVs but comparing it to the x90. Sony processor wins all day but the hisense keeps up due to the local dimming soons and mini led. The B2 is OLED. 8 billion pixels vs 250 dimming zones? If you want bright this is right. If not look for an OLED. Other than that this TV is future proofed for 120hz gaming & TRUE HDR/Dolby Vision viewing.

I've had the TV for about a month. The TV sits in a place with a lot of sun during the day. I am not a videophile so take this review as it is.
This TV has the best picture quality of any TV I've ever owned. Blacks are very black. TV is plenty bright for sunny environments. Colors are fantastic. VRR with the PS5 ensures that my gaming experience is elevated. I still have trouble believing that I didn't spend 3x for this TV.
Sound is good enough that I'm considering moving the sound bar to another TV. It's plenty loud enough. Bass isn't the best, but it's good. Highs and mids are as good as my sound bar. It's wild to get all of that in a TV this cheap.
The apps are responsive and work well. It is a Google TV, so you have to deal with their tracking and their propensity for forcing you into various settings.
That is honestly the only thing I dislike about this TV. When Google pushes an update, you will lose access to your TV until you do it. I was in the middle of a boss fight when the update screen popped up. It takes up the whole screen real estate. The only button you can hit then is "OK". No option I can find to turn auto-update off.
The other annoyance is the built in apps that cannot be uninstalled. Disney+ is a system app and cannot be uninstalled. Your only option is to disable it. Max is an app that can be uninstalled, but reinstalls itself every time you add any other app. There are several minor annoyances such as these. You can just turn off access to Internet and buy some sort of streaming device to get around these issues. It's just unfortunate because the built in apps work so well otherwise.
All-in-all, this is probably the best TV I've owned in a lower-end price point. Hisense has done a great job balancing features, picture quality, and price. Highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to not break the bank but wanting a solid TV.

I bought this brand of television because I know friends who’ve bought from Hisense before so I gave it a shot. The picture is amazing for its price range. When used with my ps5 game mode and iMax mode take it to another level. It is capable of doing 120Hz if that’s important to anyone. It gets bright! A little too much for me but I’m sensitive to it but nothing over powering.Speakers on this tv are nice the sub in the back has pretty good bass.

This is an amazing tv for its value. It has beautiful colors, hdr, and it has insane black levels without being an oled. It also has a ton of gaming features like 120HZ VRR for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, I worry about its longevity. It's wifi tends to cut out- i hope this doesnt have that infamous Hisense chipset that craps out after 3 years. But we will see. Until this, it looks incredible.

Great 4K TV, Except ...

A very nice 4K television, but it just isn't perfect for us, hence only four stars. We mostly watch broadcast TV, which at best is 1080. We discovered that this and 4K UHDTVs in general interpolate the 1080 image by upscaling it to fit the lower 1080 resolution onto the higher resolution 4K screen, making it look a little smeary. I wouldn't have believed it, but we did a side-by-side comparison between it and our old 55" 1080 HDTV and for over-the-air broadcast shows, the old flat screen was actually sharper! I don't understand why the 4K UHDTVs upscale instead getting the 4K to emulate a 1080 HDTV when displaying lower resolution content. Like, instead of upscaling, why don't the 4Ks just directly dedicate four pixels for each 1080 pixel (maybe with a manual setting)? Anyway, for those who have cable or stream, this is a beautiful set. It's bright, has outstanding contrast and color and the Google TV features are easy to use and offer lots of content. 4K sports look really great on this TV. I just wish it did better with 1080.

Pros,
1. For a 4k 144hz TV it's the best deal I've found.
2. It's cheaper than the U8K for not much of any real loss of features.
3. The picture quality is smooth, looks decent for movies, ok for TV shows, is great for sports and videos gaming.
4. Being a Google TV it uses the simple Android OS.
5. It's relatively easy to use.
6. Compared to most 4K 144hz TVs it's far cheaper.
Cons,
1. In general any 4K TVs that are 120hz or more are expensive.
2. Sadly my older receiver only supports a 4K 60hz passthrough and this TV doesn't properly support DTS-X(or any DTS). The TV does support Dolby Atmos and IMAX. If you get this TV and want to play all modern media and hookup devices like consoles and PCs you may want to look into a newer receiver for a proper passthrough.
3. As I said the picture is decent, but I wouldn't call it great for movies and TV shows.
For what I paid I have no regrets, but at MSRP I would have bought a better TV.

For the price it's a very good deal. When viewing high quality source videos/films/blu ray and regular dvd's the image is excellent. The Roku 4k stick is sometimes in conflict with the software. There is a large learning curve with a smart tv and the software does have some gliches even with the latest software update. Audio is very good, And the tv works fairly well with the JBL 9.2 sound bar. The remote could be much better, there's no back light on the remote and no numbers so you have to scroll through to get to a channel instead of being able to punch in the channel you want. The next gen does not give you 4k tv. it only offers 1080p over 1080i. And the tv stations seem to not give enough of a boost to the signal for it to work well, so most of the time you have to just go to the local channel without the next gen. it's extremely bright, in fact I've cut it back to 60% because it was hurting my eyes. But still a very good buy for when the source gives you good high quality signals. Thank you Hisense and Best Buy.

have had this TV for 1/2 year now and I am extremely happy with my purchase. As somebody who predominantly uses his TV to play video games and watch sports, this one was the perfect fit for me. The two things that really stand out to me about it: 1) the native 144Hz refresh rate. I did not think I would notice such a difference but you will be shocked. 2) the compatibility with almost every picture quality brand. Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+, etc. this TV also has a setting where it will automatically sense when a program I am watching is available in one of those.

Highsense TV with Google TV Interface

Excellent TV choice. No issues with the TV that a restart hasn't solved. Problems were all when using the Paramount+ app. The colors are bright and the blacks are black on current shows and movies while streaming. The Google TV interface is super easy to use and was simple to learn. When I decide to get another TV, it will be one with a Google TV interface.

My last TV was a Vizio gifted to me in Christmas around 2010 and was due for my first 4K Smart TV. I ended up purchasing the Hisense U7K after a bit of research and my first impressions were just like everyone else's first 4K experience. The image was crystal clear and I was highly impressed by the colors and the high refresh rate.
The set up was easy and really bright at night. Especially after spontaneously waking up at night, feeling eager to turn on the TV and watch something. I had to turn down the brightness since it was too bright for my barely awakened eyes. For built-in speakers, at around 20-25 volume, it was loud. I didn't use it over 30 though. Anything above that, was too much for me and unreasonable.
Fast forward 5 days and I ended up returning it for a TCL Q7 55". I really did enjoy the U7K but the Q7 is just $20 more when both are on sale and needed to make the switch. Due to that price difference and the better performance/experience, it's a no brainer.
Compared to the Q7, the U7K struggled with motion handling, the blacks aren't the best, the YouTube app would launch and stay gray at times and had to hard shut off the TV to fix this. I don't know how to explain this next part, but there were blocks of pixelated imaging at times. I couldn't cast to the TV while it was off, like my Sony, and had to turn on the TV and launch YouTube before being able to cast to it.
I do not recommend this TV when the prices of the U7K ($479.99) and Q7 ($499.99) are so close. You're better off getting the Q7, hands down. I believe they packed too many features in this TV and lacked on the more important aspects. The deeper blacks, motions handling etc.
Other than that, the only way I would choose this TV is if the price was at least $200 less than the Q7. Even with that in mind and knowing how the blacks and motion handling perform on the Q7, I still would have trouble justifying this TV. I would rather pay more for the better TV. Not a terrible TV, it's just not the best for the price when compared to others around the same price.

This TV has been fantastic after 1 month of use. The picture quality outperforms my Samsung 4K. The brights are bright, the darks are dark and you can clearly see it during the day or at night.
HDR and local dimming work great on this TV. Gaming is clear and there is no screen tearing.
I’ve paired this TV with a Hisense 5.1.2 surround sound system and it blends together seamlessly. Perfect for a bedroom.
The construction of the device is great but my only gripe is that for the stand, the threading on the screw insert is not perfectly straight so it was a struggle to get it on properly and even afterwards, if I move the TV slightly I can hear the metal rub and it’s not a good sound. It’s still functional and hopefully will still last as it should.
I don’t regret getting the U7 over the U6. For a budget friendly bedroom TV which performance that hits above its weight class, I’d recommend the U7.

Very impressed by this TV - I didn't have a ton of experience with Hisense, but this has really exceeded my expectations, especially at this price point. Was able to get it price matched via Best Buy's own BF/CM deal pricing which made it an even better value.
Picture is very good - colors pop, brightness is great, and black levels are impressive for an LCD.
Gaming is very good on this as well - takes full advantage of every possible capability of the Series X (which my Samsung S90C can't even do without Dolby vision). Also has a game-bar on the screen itself for finer tweaking of settings.
Built in Google TV is great, and IMO the best UI available today.
Can't say much about the TV's speakers as I've only used it with a surround setup.

I just picked up my new Hisense 55in U7k tv from Best Buy today and I cannot tell you how impressed I am. The picture quality and sound is better than my current Samsung Tv that will soon be getting moved to my basement. My son was able to game on it for a couple hours already and says this tv is best tv he's ever played games on. If you are a gamer this tv comes with a 144hz refresh rate and Game Mode Pro feature to enhance your gaming experience.

This is the best bang for your buck TV you can buy. It features a wonderful picture on normal input like your cable box. Where it really shines is when you plug in a Blu-ray player or the newest gaming consoles such as the PS5 or Xbox series X. The vivid colors coming from the Blu-ray player with HDR content is amazing. Likewise if you own a next gen console you can take advantage of all the console offers with 120 hz smooth gaming. Also the streaming apps included are very convenient. All in all a very good TV. I Love it.

I bought this television to replace a 50” Vizio that I had in the bedroom that was acting up. I had read good reviews about Hisense and had originally decided to go with the next model up, the U8. I decided against the U8 because of issues with the VESA pattern on the U8 with my existing wall mount vs the pattern on the U7, which would ultimately make the U7 easier to mount. Well I can’t speak to the U8, I’m sure it’s a great choice, but for $200 less, the U7 has everything that I need in the way of features and inputs and the picture is absolutely stunning! The picture on this set rivals the Sony Bravia in my Family room that cost 3 times as much. When comparing it to the Vizio which it replaced, the picture on the Vizio looks drab and washed out. The Google TV interface is intuitive, responsive and easy to use. I’ll have to take a wait and see approach as to the longevity of this set, but based on my experience up until this point, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a Hisense set as my primary home television. I’m no expert, but based on many television purchases over the years, this is the best performance and value for the money in a television that I’ve come across so far.

Hisense has done it again. The U7 (and above) are top-notch models. with a variable refresh, 4k HDR supporting HD10 and Dolby Vision, QLED performance as well as Google TV, these TVs are top-notch. I would recommend the U7 or U8 any time of the week.
While other competitors (cough LG, cough Samsung) are playing a standard battle with HDR10+ and HDR10, manufacturers like Hisense and TCL just toss all of them into their TVs, and we benefit from them. This TV is not cheap, but it's also not expensive.
We've loved the TV, and the overall quality that it provides. It replaced a Vizio TV that we constantly have problems with.
