Was easy to ask questions, however, it did not recognize my contact list on my phone when set up. spent over an hour on the phone with google and still didn't work. had to enter manually online

It's like an encyclopedia at your finger tips. Great to ask questions about weather, sports, history, etc. It also play music to specifications. I'm still learning and so is Google.

Google Home is great! It is really neat the things it will do upon command. Great for kids to ask google for homework research to playing music. Google also has a personality which can be fun.

bought for my husband, & he loves it! he asks google to play his songs, the weather, scores, even white noise to sleep! use it everyday, Love it! Want one for every room!

So far so good! Weather, trivia questions and basic music requests are great. I’ll need to subscribe to Google Music to really tap into the full effect, but I enjoy everything else that’s free.

Bought one last year just for playing music but I use it for much more. The sound quality is great and usually is able to answer most of my questions with no difficulty

Speaker is surprising given the size. Easy to set-up and fun to use. WiFi reception works over 60' and a wall.

was a gift for my wife and she loves it , me to , easy to use and fun , some times it will not understand what you want but you just have to learn how to talk to it , bought 3 more for the kids

There are many reviews online to read and they are mostly true. This has somethings that you would expect to work out the gate that just don't yet. But, if you know Google, it will open up more features before you know it, and that when you'll wish you bought it when you were reading reviews of it. So far, only one Google account can be used so that's prolly the most problematic con I'd have of the Google home. Many pros, works with smartthings, works with ifttt, with future APIs opening. that's gonna really move this train. oh and using hey Google stops making your phone respond so use hey instead of Ok. And use Ok google for just your phone. The future is bright with this device.

Google - Google Home - is a awesome, fun product. I also have an Amazon Echo - interesting comparisons. Briefly: Google Home - smarter to talk to, able to answer more and varied questions. Very nice smartphone app interface. Severely lagging behind on smart home connectivity. They have a few major brands to connect to, but still missing hundreds of others. Amazon Echo: Love the smart home connections - almost every device you can think of (except google products). Nice audio quality. Easy to talk to. Lastly, I like saying "Alexa...." much more than I like saying "Hey, Google..."

Husband bought it for me for Christmas. I didn't ask for one and was skeptical at first...we (the whole family) love it! Music, random questions, plays games and the speaker is pretty good too.

I had to get one of these. I use it on my phone all the time so I needed 1 for home. It can control so much of your products and and answer any question you have. A must for any home.

Fast response to search questions. Have not had a chance to hook it up to other smart home items but seems like it would be a convenient, yet unnecessary way to control thermostat, lights, etc.

Google needs to move faster with compatibilty. Looks nicer and is much easier to use than Alexa. Wish you could set up more than one google account so it could give schedule for both husband and myself.

I can't compare it to Alexa since I haven't used it, but this is a great assistant. I mostly use it to control my smartthings lights, playing music, and casting audio to my chromecast audio.

My family loves this thing. The kids use it all the time for school work as they are home schooled. They love to learn about many different things and this Google Home fits the bill nicely!!

From a hardware standpoint, I believe the Amazon Echo does a better job picking up requests and processing them. From a software standpoint, as far as solving questions, the Amazon Echo again wins, because its algorithms for solving things are better than Google's. Google relies too heavily on their search engine and reporting back their "top search result", reading a webpage synopsis to you. Amazon had to solve this problem without that backend, and it shows in better results. It does work nicely as a Chromecast Receiver, and it can do a nice job of home automation by voice.

This was a gift. The lucky recipient said "I love it, learning more about it, trying to use all the features. Hoping for updates for new features. It's like being a baby and learning to talk."

Love our Google Home. She can play any song you want. Now she can control our Hue lights. Love that she can help with definitions, measurements, time zones, and especially weather.

I bought a Google Home as my daughter's birthday gift. She loves it. It was very easy to set up, and it is a lot of fun to use. She especially loves to use it for music.
