The sound is superior to Echo. The technology allows for use in all aspects google, but has yet to integrate itself with many other wireless options. For example, I have an iPhone, and google hasn't done a great job of integration.

Google Home “Hey, Google . . . play “Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young” and so it was done. Google Home used the Pandora account I just entered, and a rather smooth, well balanced music playback began. It could get loud without harshness out of a cute beer-mug sized device. Without any other command, Pandora was now playing. Seemed like magic to my visitors who were listening in to my conversation with Google Home while I was setting it up. Set up took less than 10 minutes, but I don’t have many of the partner products (NEST, Philips Hue, SmartThings, IF) that Google Home operates with right out of the box. But Google Home has a nice bag of tricks with which to work. With the right Chromecast enabled speakers, you can apparently get the house rocking relying on Pandora, Spotify, Google Play, Youtube Music, or Tunein to provide the tunes. Both my wife an I are getting a kick out of challenging Google to provide weather reports, news updates, or filling in our grocery list (using Google Keep). It’ll do a very accurate job of answering trivia questions and has no trouble deciphering our voice commands. It could provide the names of local restaurants and addresses, but couldn’t schedule a table for us. It could list where movies were playing, but not when. Google Home easily picked out our voices over a playing TV and was quick to respond. It wasn’t ready with TV schedules, however . . yet. For me, the real excitement begins if/when Google operates my Logitech Harmony Theater system hubs, my HomeBrite Devices, or maybe lets us order from some online stores. I have no trouble recommending the Google Home device, but I’m also expecting ti to expand its partner list. These are wonderfully useful gadgets, but they rely on Google to play nicely with a variety of other products that I want to control.

I don't have a ton of smart home products yet but am slowly building it out. Works as advertised and responds to my wife and myself with our personalized info (ex. traffic going to work) which is definitely a great feature over the Echo. Also make calls which is nice.

The future is certainly here, isn't it?? I love the ability to have Google Home turn off or dim my lights, play my favorite channel on Pandora, set alarms, timers, tell me about my day full of events each morning. While certainly not a necessity, it's a neat little toy

I researched both the Google Home and the Alexa line of products before making my purchase and with the list of features and recommendations I decided to go with the Google Home. So far that has been a great choice. Give it a try, worse case scenario is you have to return it.

I am old school, so I don't think I am using this to it's capacity. I like getting an answer quickly, when it can actually answer my question, but that seems to be a problem for me. It is more of a toy than a helpful gadget.

Lots of fun to use. Easy to start music and Netflix but can't start HboGo or Showtime yet. Reads calendar events but apparently can't yet add events. Easy link to our Nest thermostat. With a Hey Google, good morning you get a weather forecast, news and more while you have coffee. Nice.

I love the Google Home device. My 20-year-old set it up for me so I don't know how involved it is to do so. It doesn't know how to play much music until you set up a google music account. But it is great for lots of information. I haven't set it up for purchases...just for information.

Kept having issues with the echo coming on in the middle of the night, as you can expect my wife hated because she was home alone when she heard a female voice in the other room at 2 am. I now have two google home the paired without issue. I just hate I can't use audible with them.

I purchased the Google Home for my husband for Christmas. I selected this over other brands once I read the reviews. He loves it! We are enjoying using it for updated weather, headline news and our various other conversations that need a Google Expert to verify!

She sings, she is sarcastic, she keeps my schedule she says my name but she cant always understand my deeper voice. I am looking for to an hopeful update where the wakeup word can be shorter and she becomes a bit more connected and smart but im impressed and throughly enjoy this product.

I can't imagine myself living without Google Assistant :) This Google Home speaker has great audio quality and allow me to have my assistant anywhere I want, integrating with everything I have in my smart home

We purchased one of these for our son for Christmas. After playing with it for a while on Christmas day, I went a couple of days later and bought one for myself. I am holding back one star only because there needs to be more home control partnerships which I am sure will come with time.

We love this thing! We ask it the weather daily and it will play any song you ask. I have it linked to our TV through chromecast. Yes, it is limited what it can play right now. I hope more features will be added soon. We bought it when on sale for 99 and worth every dollar.

Cons that I didn't know; it can't access my iTunes library for music. While I appreciate that it isn't listening in all the time (as issue with Alexa), it is annoying that you have to repeat HEY GOOGLE! Quite good on searches for definitions and info ... not great on music yet.

It didn't wow me, and I didnt understand how to program it

I mainly use this for getting weather updates, some short timers and reminders. Pretty useful for so far. Other use is with my kids, they play some games and all. Certainly, helpful if you don't want up to grab phone/computer to get small updates from internet.

My family has really enjoyed this new addition to our home. We bought Alexa and Google Home. We took back for refund Alexa. Google has more uses around our home. Love how you can ask it to play any gender of music. Did not subscribe to you tube red as not worth $10 a month

The unit was very easy to set up and made a great gift for the family. It is easy to use and provides useful information. We are somewhat disappointed in the music feature as it is hard to select single songs without getting a medley of music similar to the song specified.

Bought this as an early adopter. Can see lots of potential. Lots of fun for trivia, keeping current with the news and weather. Works seamlessly with my Nest. Looking forward to getting is set up with my WEMO. Hope Arlo is next! Shopping list feature looks like it will be really useful.
