I purchased this March 30, 2018 and it doesn't work nearly as well as the older models which I also have. I don't recommend this product in the slightest. If you try to reach Hoover support you will wait 20 minutes just to reach someone on the phone. At the end, they are just not helpful.

Not that great. You have to go over carpet several times to clean.

I cleaned my area rug and it never picked up the water. Very frustrating.

It leaves the carpet to wet and didn’t scrub well .throws to much water threw the side ,not what I expected.

The unit works, but it didn't come with the tools and attachments that were supposed to come with it.

The suction would stop when the unit tilted and The spray eventually stopped working.

Vacuum does not clean or suction good at all. Waste of money!!

This carpet cleaner got my oatmeal colored carpets white is snow. I have hired companies to clean my carpets in the past but this carpet cleaner did a better job than the pros. Amazing. The dual tanks makes a big difference. Cannot say enough good things about this carpet cleaner.

I Did not like this product, it immediately broke.

This cleans very well and leaves my carpet fairly dry. It holds more water than most so you don't have to constantly refill it.

We usually wait a while before submitting a review. But we were so impressed after the first use we decided to do one. Much of our house is hardwood but we do have a couple of good sized bedrooms. Also, we are rural, so renting a Rug Doctor. caused two 35 mile trips. We decided we might be able go get by with a machine like this Hoover. Much better that getting by! Once I got used to the slightly different control routine, the Hoover felt a lot like the Rug Doctor. This was most evident on the return pull where the brush and scrubbing resistance felt very much like the doctor. But feel aside, it does an excellent job. Our nine year old bedroom carpet had developed a pattern near the entry door we assumed was going to be permanent. Nope! I did take a couple of extra passes in that area and it looked great. If you take the time to do an extra vacuum pass or two the carpet dries very quickly. An 18' x 15' bedroom required one refill of the water tank and slightly more that one full shampoo tank. We will enjoy this machine for a long time.

This carpet cleaner was good for about 4 years when a piece inside of it broke causing it to no longer scrub or spray solution. They don’t make any parts for it anymore so was forced to buy a new cleaner. Luckily I had the 5 year service plan.

Purchased this shampooer 4 years ago. Still working great like the first day. The only thing I have something to say is the side brushes. They are pretty flat right now and is no longer doing its job. Wish that was replaceable.

This is the best manual carpet washer I have used. It cleans great. I also have automatic hoover but if you like to choose a budget friendly product I would recommend to choose this.

Looks like I will have the first negative review on this product. We bought this yesterday. I used it for about 30 mins yesterday afternoon and it was OK, although its cleaning abilities didn’t seem to be any better than any other common cleaner we’ve used. This morning I got up to finish our living room and used it for about 20 mins when all of the sudden it started making a loud whaling sound and rattling. I had just emptied the dirty water reservoir, so I knew it wasn’t that filling up. When I tilted it back there were metal shards all over the floor. At first I thought I had ran over something, but I turned it back on while I was looking under it and could tell it was spitting metal shavings out of the pump housing. It’s going back to the store today (an hour away I might add). Maybe we just got a lemon.

I was tired of paying someone to clean our carpets so I wanted to invest in my own so that I could do them quarterly. I have 2 kids and wanted to keep their rooms clean and the carpets clean as well. I absolutely LOVE this carpet cleaner. No negatives whatsoever, I'd definitely buy again and again and recommend to anyone! It even got stains out that a steam cleaning company couldn't.

Unboxing, this thing is chincy junk. Jugs are a little heavier than plastic milk bottle. Structure flexes. Have not used it yet. My old Hoover v steam pet was rigid, repairable and worked great for 12 years and held up to weekly use. Get the 4 yr warranty, if this does a good job cleaning it wont last 4 yrs. At least with the warranty you may get more than a few years from this "recycled Dixie Cup".
