Overall, this vacuum cleaner is a good purchase, EXCEPT when it comes to the extension wand for reaching crevices; its much too short to reach the areas where its needed the most...it won't go up to the ceiling (even lifting the whole thing up onto my sofa, it still doesn't reach ceiling cobwebs) Another flaw: the position of the upholstery tool; kind of dangling off of the handle-it seems as though they remembered it at the last moment; I have knocked it off so many times, now I just leave it on a shelf until I want to use it. Even so, it accomplishes its primary function; it cleans up dirt, ashes, and pet hair very effectively, is easy to empty, and very quiet compared to other vacuums of comparable amperage. Bottom line: Would I Buy it again? Probably not; I'd shop around a bit first. Would I Return it? No.

I found this vacuum easy to assemble. It outperformed our last vacuum, which cost hundreds of dollars more. I love the retractable cord for the fact I don't have a tangled mess to sort through before I use it. As far as bagless vacuums go this is so much cleaner and easier to empty.

I;ve used it twice and it works great. Cord rewind is super, suction is very good and vacuum is easy to handle. I like the power attachment for stairs.

I have used many of these and this one is my favorite. This machine is very user friendly. Lovely retractable cord. You can forget how important that is until you don't have it. The power button is close to the top. Suction is fantastic and the bin is very easy to use.

My family and i have been very pleased with this particular model of the Hoover Windtunnel. It has great suction, is easy to maneuver, and is light weight, making it easy to carry up and down stairs. We have experienced no issues or disappointments with the vacuum over the past 4 weeks of using it. The only concern I have with its durability is the fact that it is entirely constructed of light weight plastic - which, while making it easy to transport, also makes me a little skeptical about its ability to hold up over the long-term. A leading consumer magazine rated this model much higher than other models that cost 2-3 times as much, making this a very good value for the money!

Needing to replace my old vacuum I looked at Consumer Reports yearly book for their recommendation. It was their 'best buy'. I scoured the websites or area stores and found Best Buy had the 'best buy'. I am seriously impressed with the suction even from the hose. My carpet is softer on the barefoot also.

This is my second one cleans the carpet well. Just moved into a new house pickup all the dirt etc from the move easily.

It has excellent vacuum power, but the material is cheap. We have three cats and there is always pet hair around. It has great suction, especially for the pet hair. Much of the vacuum is cheap plastic which I expect will break before long. Hopefully, we can get replacement parts. The cord has already stopped retracting. The cord is very long which is good.

Suction while vacuuming carpet and using the tools is really good. Great vacuum for college apartment. Three cons: 1. Power brush cannot be turned off for use on bare floors or while using tools. If using tools need to have unit setup to its highest carpet pile so brush is not continuously hitting carpet while you use the tools. 2. Vacuum handle completely lays down and does not allow you to lift the power head up while vacuuming (this is useful to transition between bare floors and area rugs). You end up putting the handle all the way up (locked), then lifting the powerhead on to the carpet, then releasing the lock to continue vacuuming. 3. Carpet pile height adjustment is adjustable by hand. If you do a large amount of vacuuming with the tools or transitioning between bare floors/carpet, I don't recommend. However, for a college apartment where you are lucky if they vacuum, I would highly recommend as the suction is really good. It has everything you need to keep your carpet clean, just not all of the bells & whistles of a high end vacuum cleaner.

This vacuum cleaner was easy to assemble and works very well. Picks everything up and the bin is easy to remove and clean. Retractable power cord is a major plus.

Bought this vacuum last night. This morning I went to use it in the bedroom. Sucked up a sock and bingo broke the belt. Less then 24 hours of ownership and need a new belt. Good news is I guess it has good suction since the sock seemed to be a safe distance away but it was not safe at all. Bad news is well it’s Sunday and I get to go hunt down a belt or is this someone’s way of telling me “Stop Cleaning and go play”? I did not get to use it all that much and it might be just because it was new but it did seem to run hot and smell most of the time of burnt plastic. I don’t know if this is why the belt broke or if there is a break in time for a vacuum, like a new car smell a new vacuum smell but I’ll go get some belts and let you know if this becomes an on going problem. After taking the belt off I did see two things that just in my mind Hoover could had done to limit this belt breakage. One is maybe a thicker belt. Two maybe the surface area that the belt spins off of could be a little bigger. But then I’m just a lazy guy that does not pick up his socks so what do I know.

We have been using this model for about a month or so. Very pleased with the performance. It is able to clean the carpet in one pass and performs very well. Cleans the furniture well with the included attachment. The construction almost completely plastic which tends to flex when attaching removable canister. Dont expect it to last for years as the overall feel is cheap. Still for the price it does extreemly well.

I thought my last vacuum worked great until I bought this one. It sucked up dirt I didn't know was in my carpet. Great attachments and automatic recoil on cord. Unfortunately, it's heavy, big, and messy to empty.

This vacuum is at a more than reasonable price point for the suction quality associated with it. The machine is very lite weight and easy to move around. Quick detachment of canister makes cleaning simple.

this is a good machine for the price but its a better machine than some of the more expensive ones for all over needs. Does all kinds of surfaces and great on pet hair as well. Would recommend.

Purchased after I read ratings in a consumer magazine. Does everything well especially for the price paid.

Great price!! Has great suction. Pretty light weight . Wished it was a little easier to manuever on stairs, but so far no complaints really.

The vacuum has great suction and is awesome on pet hair. Only drawback that I found was the hose and attachments were lacking and the main brush could not be switched off for hardwood floors. It just spins dust around on hardwoods. If you have pets and only carpets this is an awesome vacuum. If you have hardwoords I'd say continue to search.

Good product for the money. I purchased instead of a Dyson because this unit has adjustable height to not tear up my new carpet. Suction is good doing a good job of picking up the hair from my shedding labrador. I find it would be better to have retractable cord on the other side. The filter inside the canister seems to become fouled after each use. I miss having a hard floor attachment. Overall a great buy at 1/4 price of Dyson. Power cord could be longer.
