Largely performance is ok, until you have more than 7 or 8 tabs open. Chromebooks in general need to start having a 4GB of RAM as the minimum instead of 2GB. It this was done, they would be the perfect computer for light computing and web browsing. ***I would give this 5 stars for value if the product had 4GB minimum. The light form factor, reasonably good keyboard & touchpad, and LTE make for a nice mobile computer that is great for traveling or couch surfing.

First it is a chromebook, with that said it does have its limitations, but with those limitations there are benefits. It does not use windows but google chrome OS so it is faster by far but they are still adding apps meaning a lot is left that you can't do. The charging cord is a micro USB so it bends and breaks easy but that said you can use your phone charger (android) to charge the laptop. With all that said it is amazing, the perfect size, super light weight and honestly we use it more then the other laptops. Just remember there are limitations to what you can and can't do (do a web search for more info) but for the most part works perfect. I would recommend for anyone.

This is a very cute, convenient laptop. You can easily carry it anywhere with you and it is fantastic for the price. The issues are starting to become bigger and bigger though: -The charger broke within the first week after I bought it and it has now been 3 weeks and I still haven't received the replacement I should be getting with my insurance. -If it is not connected to internet, it will become useless unless you pay more money to Verizon in order to set it up to get LTE connection. -You can't download common programs such as Microsoft Office or Skype. You also cannot play games, which I did know before I bought it. Overall, it's an alright computer for people who use it for basic email and social networking. Once the parts can be more easily located it will be even better. It is not the device for gamers or people who do not have easy access to an internet connection or the money to add LTE. Other than the charger issue, this device works quite well for me for the most part.

This laptop is super convenient to carry to work and school. I love the size and weight of the laptop! I have been in need of a new laptop to cart around everywhere and this was finally one I was actually sold on. Being an avid Windows user, I am still getting use to the differences using Google interface. I am not a fan of the mouse pad because it has all the hidden movements when you place your fingers a certain way, but I haven't spent much time learning them. I also wish I could download iTunes to listen to music while I do homework.

I needed a lightweight, reliable tablet with near full-size keyboard for internet access on the go. After shopping all of the more expensive and less expensive options, I chose this one and I am very satisfied. It looks great, screen is big enough to view larger web pages and intricate photos, and the keyboard is large enough to write documents. This option works for me because I run my whole business on Google apps.

I love my chromebook so much I've replaced it twice.When it is working it is lightweight fast and efficient. I've replaced the charger and the actual chromebook twice because the charger is unable to keep up with the demand and will drain the battery faster than it can charge while you are working on it. Still love it for short periods of time, keep it fully charged between uses and it works great.

Got this for my girlfriend's birthday. She'll be starting a new school program this fall and was very happy with the Chromebook. It looks cool, and it's way easier to carry around than the 17-inch behemoth she had before. She was an MS Office user before, but after showing her Google Docs and the power of cloud storage, she was happy to switch.

I have been extremely happy with the purchase of my new Chromebook! It is small and light-weight, with a large screen and comfortable keyboard. Very user-friendly and easy to open and use immediately! Great for surfing the web, checking email, and for social networking!

I use this laptop mainly to browse the internet and watch videos. It loads really fast and is pretty easy to use. The Video chat is ok. I used google hangout and the picture and resolution is just ok. It does the job but not the best quality. I only had this laptop for 2 months now so can't comment on durability. Very happy with my purchase so far!

I bought this laptop for my daughters 11th birthday. I was only wanting to be able to surf the internet and type up papers for school and this does just that. It's a speedy little thing too. The colors are bright and crisp. It's the perfect size. I only use an iPad but am often setting that down to use this instead. If you are looking for a laptop to fit simple needs I highly recommend this!

I bought the chromebook for my Mom who is 91 years old. She uses it to check her email and surf the web. We have yet to use it for video conversations using google hangouts but looking forward to it.

This is a nice looking, lightweight, reasonably priced laptop. It works great. Sound and screen are clear and sharp. The keyboard has grey letters on white keys, so the contrast is low, making it difficult to use the keyboard in low lighting.

Its not a full working heavy duty computer but for the price and why I got it it is perfect. Plenty of memory to stores pictures and record keeping. Very mobile to take around the house or outside world. Internet is fine. I have an android so I can sync it with my phone. I really have no complaints. Couldn't be happier.

Had to get used to google and no hard drive, but I like the portability of this laptop and easy access to online documents. quick browsing on internet

This is our second Chromebook and we like having access everywhere we go without searching for wifi... Plus it is more secure. Device is almost instant on and no concerns about updates.

Compact... perfect size...light weight...convenient to move around with. Extra storage...A great plus.

Chromebook WOULD be nice IF the charger lasted. Bad charger and you can't get replacement. HP site / customer service didn't even know what to replace it with. Piece of junk. We've tried 4 or 5 other mini usb chargers and they all say low power and don't charge the chrome book. STAY away from this one. Cheap and you get what you pay for. Only a year old. Problems pretty much from the get go.

My 10 yr old has been asking for a laptop since a year ago. Its great for beginners, she does research, homework, and plays her games/apps. It's a good item for a good price. I would recommend this for people that would do basic work/research and for younger children as their first laptop to show how responsible they are before buying a more expensive one as they get older and High School/College.

Bought for my 4th grade daughter. Google software worked fine for what she needed (google docs, email, etc.). The laptop couldn't be charged within a month and therefore, it was useless because it couldn't be cut on. Luckily, I bought it from Best Buy between Black Friday and Christmas because they were willing to take it back even though we had it for about a month. Happy with Best Buy. Happy with Google. Not happy with HP.
