I bought this product to test it out for my kids for the distant learning, it ended up mine since they got theirs at school. I am using it for work from. I really like how light it is to carry. I like the quality of camera when doing zoom meetings. It is super fast and i l like the easy access apps at the bottom. Definite a good purchase.

Great product for basic information gathering and finance control. Using the web is very simple. Love the battery life and automatic on/off functions. Low weight is very helpful. Brighter screen would help old eyes but knew that when we bought it and bought it anyway.

I’m a college student that primarily uses an iPad Pro for my work. I bought this for a couple of reasons: I missed the keyboard space of a laptop; I couldn’t print from my iPad because I had an old printer; and I was tired of splitting the tiny screen of an iPad to do my work. Overall, as a secondary device, it served its purpose well. I was able to do a couple hours (maybe about 7) of homework without it dying and it’s very easy to use since most schools have these types of Chromebooks. It is a little heavier than I’m used to but nothing out of the ordinary. Screen resolution isn’t the greatest, but reasonable given the price.

I bought this as a "general use" laptop for the wife and kids to have since everyone has a Gmail account and it's perfect. The screen and sounds are both robust and the machine is speedy enough for all of our everyday tasks. (Email, video, schoolwork...etc). It was a great buy at a great price. Setup was a breeze and it's very easy to use.

We had to get an additional chrome book for distance learning. I love the bigger screen. (Our last chrome book purchased had an 11.6 inch screen). I made schoolwork much easier for me to see. It was easy to operate and set up. The price was good and I was able to spread the payments over six months.

Has a cheap feel to it compared to my MacBook Pro but it was only $120 over the holidays. Despite the cheaper feel and screen quality, it seems to work fine for browsing and using a basic online application. Redeeming the Disney Plus was a pain. I ended up calling Best Buy customer service after wasting a lot of time. They walked me though the process and got it up and going. (I was not going to figure it out by myself and if you read reviews, I was not alone in this). My biggest quirk with this is I can print from it, but I can not scan into one of the apps I use to store data at work. Does not support the software needed for scanning. Hence the 3 star rating. I considered returning it over this since its an essential thing I do at work but figured I do have a better and more expensive lap top that I can scan from when needed. Overall for $120 its a decent cheap work device.

Person I brought this item for reports pretty good for it's size. Takes some time to get used to after using a laptop for many years. This will do the trick for anybody downsizing & looking for just the basics & not have all bells & whistles . its light weight &easy to carry around and don't take up a lot of space..

I purchased more out of curiosity being one of the first Chromebooks with a AMD processor. After first startup and connecting to WiFi, the Chromebook proceeded to check for updates and downloaded updates for over 30 minutes. After that completed and a reboot I proceeded to login into my Google account and let all the normal syncing take place. I noted that this Chromebook has Android 9.0 instead of 7.1.1 like my other Chromebooks. I have had this Chromebook over a month now and so far it has performed fine except for some Android app notification issues which are not present on my other Chromebooks.

Literally best buy, we upgraded and purchased this chromebook over another because of the price and brand! HP is a trusted name which will last. Performance is exceptional and I love the grey matte finished look. Size is bigger than what I had previously but is lightweight and easily transportable. Nice screen size and quality for videos. Definitely recommend this chromebook.

I purchased this Chromebook for school and absolutely love it! It may not have all the rings and dings as the expensive laptops but for what I need to do on a daily basis it works great and worth the money. It’s lightweight and holds a charge for at least two days or longer.

I bought this for my high school teenager, whose school uses a very similar one (an HP 11-inch Touchscreen Chromebook). I like the simplicity of it and the ease of use. Prior to this she was using a Windows laptop, which would constantly, constantly bombard her with updates that would sometimes last a hour or more, and notifications up the wazoo. It didn't matter that I uninstalled the ton of bloatware that always comes with Windows laptops. This Chromebook, however--leaps and bounds better. Instant on, instant off. Battery lasts for days and days and days. No bloatware. No nagging for updates every other minute. Just a nice, clean conduit to the Internet and other media consumption (watching Netflix, YouTube, emails, general web surfing, etc.).

I bought this when my older laptop stopped working. I didn't want to go from a 15 inch to a 11 inch chromebook so finding this 14 was perfect for me. I like that the keyboard is still large and not smashed in like the 11 inch chromebooks. It's run quick, does everything I need and its light weight. Great battery life too!

Loving this Chromebook so far. I use it for work and only work as I move around from office to office and often have no designated work space. I use Office 365 exclusively for work and this machine handles everything I do effortlessly. I am really impressed with the battery life. I have absolutely zero complaints at this point.

This is a solid Chromebook. Processor and memory are both good, they keyboard has a solid feel, and the display is crisp. Thin and light, so easy to travel with. This model does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but gets the job done and a very good price point.

My old HP 17” laptop finally gave up after many hardware upgrades and software adjustments. I really can’t complain as the laptop was over 10 years-old & did its job. I was going to buy another laptop, that’s until my daughter suggested a Chromebook. The first selling point was a CB isn’t heavy & bulky. The SSD was another & im familiar with the Chrome system. I was worried about the RAM aspect & storage, until I did some research and was satisfied. Between the cloud & 256 GB MicroSD card, I’m good for space. Overall I’m satisfied with my HP Chromebook and I really have no complaints. I’d recommend this to a friend to buy.

This is a perfect device for my elementary school-aged child. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has a decent screen size as well. Setup was incredibly simple, and she already absolutely loves it! It was a great price for a well-functioning device.

    Excellent budget Chromebook

This is my first Chromebook and based on other reviews I need to say: please, make sure you understand what a Chromebook is before getting one with unrealistic expectations. It will not run Windows programs, major video games, etc. With that out of the way, I think this is a wonderful budget Chromebook. I wanted something with good battery life, enough RAM and processing for basic multi tasking, and a mid-size screen. IMO 11" is too small (might as well use my 10" tablet) and 15+" is harder to travel with. My 14" Chromebook is fitting perfectly in between my 10" tablet and my 17" gaming laptop. Perfect size to travel with but big enough to see while on your lap instead of holding it up to your face. Wanting it mostly for multi-tab web browsing and doing financials/budgeting, I knew it was silly to get the $400+ models for my needs (although it was tempting). This handles multi-tab Chrome plus a couple other apps all at the same time very well. Every once in a while some slight slowness loading things but so minor it's nitpicky. The keyboard is good for my needs but I'm no professional writer so not great at reviewing keyboards. I do really wish it was backlit but that usually requires more expensive models. The mousepad isn't perfect. Sometimes it's a little choppy or just doesn't seem to track me very well. It's good enough and I haven't felt a need yet to use an external mouse. Lastly the screen is no award winner but definitely good enough. If you're looking for a mini media center you'd probably want to look for a higher quality screen (and therefore probably higher price). Battery has been great so far, but I haven't measured actual usage as it has always lasted across multiple usage sessions. Highly recommended for budget Chromebook for average use and basic multitasking.

Got this Chromebook for my 9 year old son during the quarantine so he can be homeschooled. It has a nice size screen and is quick and durable. It is an awesome purchase for the price. Have recommended it to friends for their children.
