Customers admire the Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5-Series's performance, ease of use, and reasonable price. Many appreciate its quiet operation, compact size, and the included solid-state drive for fast storage. Some users noted limitations in the power supply and upgradability options. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the concerns about limited upgrade potential.

I've owned this PC about a month now and I have not had any issues. I am genuinely impressed. I love that this PC boots quickly, runs smoothly, and I never hear it make a sound! Here is my report card, one month into owning this desktop: Quietness - A+ Boot up Speed - A Running Photo Shop - A Playing Video Games (Guild Wars 2) - B+ Internet browsing (8 or more open tabs) - A+ My only negative would be the wired keyboard and mouse this comes bundled with. The keyboard is slimline and seems like it is cheaply constructed; I couldn't imagine it lasting very long with everyday use. This is a nonissue for me since I hooked up a wireless Logitech Keyboard & mouse combo. I think you will enjoy this desktop, as I do, it's has some great specs, at a lower price.

This PC boots very fast with the 256GB Solid State Drive. The only thing I did to it was to replace one 4GB memory module with an 8GB module from Amazon for $35 to give it 16GB of memory. I also added a 1TB WD SATA hard drive for $45 to store all my music and photos. I do a lot of Photo Shop work with it as I am and amateur photographer and the AMD Radeon™ Vega 11 Graphics card handles it easily. The AMD Ryzen™ 5 3400G at 3.7 GHz is plenty fast but can be overclocked up to 4.2 GHz. What more could you ask for at $480 with the upgrades I made. It's also very quiet.

Great little PC! Fast, silent, cheap, and able to do some light gaming to boot! What's not to love? For me, it was the fact it kept freezing, and gave some blue screen errors regardless of my efforts to rectify, so I returned it.... But if and when working, its a great PC and a great buy!

Great for a starter PC. Just upgraded the memory, will be upgrading graphic, power supply, and storage soon. Only complaint would be the options for upgrades. Example would be the power supply that matches the motherboard. The only available options for it are pricey.

More than satisfied over-all. Extremely quiet. Speed is excellent. The set-up was easy as can be. Following the instructions makes assembling fun and really is a great assistance. The Webroot security is definitely advantageous. Webroot perks, surprised because it does more than just secure. Additionally, the trial let's you adventure the options and full potentials. Makes worth purchasing after trial gratifying but with well covered security. Housing Case is sturdy yet light. The ports, easily reachable no strain or struggling to make inserts and attachments. I would have liked an extra HDMI port but that was just my personal choice. Drive RPM is smooth even the opening and closing. The price was and I say this with capital GREAT.

Great computer if you don't mind limited upgrades

My old Intel NUC finally died - and at an inopportune time, so I went out to get an inexpensive machine...and ended up getting this for only 429 in late 2019. It's a great little machine - especially for that price. It's fast, the games I play, it plays well (thank you, AMD!), and haven't had any issues with it at all. But, being such a good machine, I figured it couldn't hurt to beef it up even more! First thing - it has a slot for an actual video card. The AMD Vega is good, but a discrete card would be much better. The problem there is...the power supply is only 180w, and a reasonably powered video card wants total system power of around 300w. So, off to go shopping for a power supply too. Those can be had for pretty cheap - EXCEPT on this machine. It's not ATX, mATX, ITX, or anything you'd actually want. It's HP. Standard power supplies won't work. But, if you don't mind rifling through a terrible HP site to get parts, you'll see that HP does offer a 300w power supply. Problem there...it's over 200 bucks. For a weak little power supply that should be about 30 bucks. At that point, it was clear that putting a more powerful video card in this was a no-go. Next best option: add more memory so the video would have a bit more dedicated to it. So, I put an extra 16GB in there. While hopeful that the system would automatically assign a percentage of memory to the GPU, it didn't happen. Still just the 2 gigs. The AMD software can't do it either. That's something that can be configured in the BIOS. Except the HP BIOS, which doesn't support - or even mention - the video RAM. So...yeah, that's unfortunate. If you get this machine, be aware that you can add more memory (32GB total, 2 total slots, both are in use out of the box.) You can add a 3.5" HDD (already has cables ready to go for them.) And you can replace the M.2 drive. But the expansion ports...they're mostly worthless. Maybe if you want a different sound card? Or network card? Hard drive, M.2 drive, and memory. It's rather unfortunate that HP choked off almost all paths to upgrades with this computer. It's upgrades are pretty much in line with laptop upgrades, but it didn't HAVE to be that way. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't buy this computer again, knowing that HP seemingly went out of their way to make important upgrade routes impossible. I'm guessing it's so people don't buy these "lesser" machines and upgrade them to starter gaming machines, because HP sells those, too (for a pretty big premium.) If you know the only upgrades you'll ever do are adding an HDD and memory - knowing that the memory will NOT add additional graphic memory), this is a reasonable machine...especially for the price I paid. For the normal price (around 550-600 bucks), you can find a machine with similar specs that allow for future upgrades.

Had to replace the old Windows 7 machine. After suggestions from some of the tech guys at work, I came up with this one. Easy setup, fast and with the SSD, no more fan noise. This should keep us rolling for some time to come.

This machine was purchased for my teenage son's birthday. He needed something more powerful that his school issued chrome book for school work; and he is also into gaming. It is perfect for both those purposes. Runs everything he plays on Steam, and takes care of everything he needs for school, and internet surfing. Only had it for a month or so at this point, but so far so good. He's happy with the choice, even though it doesn't have all the pulsing lights, and internal bling of computers that are 3x the price. And speaking of price... we got it on a great best Buy sale which is icing on that birthday cake.

Like size , look and speed of new Tower. Especially the AMD architecture. Documentation could be better, especially identifying the different USB ports ,etc. A diagram showing location and brief description would have been nice. Overall, pleased with performance and sleek design. Zips right along in loading applications.

I have to admit, I was an Intel guy as far as I can remember. Getting this AMD pc, blew me away. I've had it for a 1.5 years, and never had a problem with this. It's fast, it's quite, and it's very dependable! I never have a problem with memory because it comes with 12gb. I did add a second ssd though, but that's the only thing I personally added. I would recommend this HP AMD all day, every day!!

Storage is endless with this 256GB SSD. SSD is the best out there. The 12GB memory is blazing fast. The newest games are no problem to play. Keep in mind that you'll need a good monitor to keep up with this computer and the newer graphics hog games. It runs quiet. When the fans on I can barely hear it. This is not only a solid state drive it's a stellar solid buy.

Bought this product 4 weeks ago. I can handle my desktop easily. Although very light, it performs excellently. This is good because you can carry to the store if anything happens. It is fast and I can have several windows open at the same time with no problem. Easy to understand with a lot of directions, although Best Buy gives a lot of support which I have already used. I am happy with this buy that is complete and in addition a money wise deal

I bought this after owing a HP computer that I bought in 2009 which had the Windows 7 operating system. The Windows 10 system is quite a bit different (in my opinion) than my old system but it hasn't been that difficult to figure out so far. The new tower is smaller and lighter than my old one which makes it easier to find a place to put it. I'm a creature of habit and don't like changing things once I get used to them. But it's been nice having a new system that is quicker and does more than what I previously had. I'm happy with my purchase so far and I would recommend this computer to anyone looking to make a change.

HP is one of the best PC's out there for home use as well as work. I have been working with them for years and there support is second to none, I bought this for the price as well as the AMD/CPU Ryzen 5 3400g. great chip for working from home and it also has a SSD hard drive with windows 10 loaded. I added a hard drive to it so that the ssd would not fill up with programs. I also added memory to get 24gig. its fast and reliable

I’ve been using this PC and it’s not too bad. I got this PC because I wanna get into PC gaming and so far I could run most games good I just gotta mess around the in game graphic settings to try to find the best experience, I ran GTA 5 with no problem it runs great with medium settings around 720p averaging 60fps but you can go up to 1080p but you’ll be averaging 30fps. I wanna upgrade this PC but the only down side is you need to find a better Power Supply (PSU) but what I read you can only use a PSU from HP branded which it suck because it’s kinda expensive just by getting 400 or 500 watts that would cost over $100. if you buy this PC for heavy gaming you must upgrade the PSU, SDD, adding a GPU, and adding 32gb ram which all that would cost you another $400 - $500 depending on the graphics card you get but if you just wanna use it for casual gaming then I would only upgrade the SSD and Ram. also don’t listen to the HP support that said this isn’t for gaming this PC can run games specially that it has a ryzen 5 chip in it.. it just some limitations of finding the PSU.

For your normal everyday needs, this computer is great. Needed to buy a computer for my mother to allow her to work from home since her old one died. This computer was a much needed upgrade. With a decent processor and memory, Solid State Hard drives really make all the difference now. It’s fast and snappy with no issues. No complaints so far.
