So overall, this computer is definitely worth the money. Huge HD touch screen, nice keyboard and really good specs. More than enough RAM. Nice i7 Processor and decent graphics card. If you are looking for a computer to do school work, gaming or things for work. This is a good choice. This computer is very large. It is a little heavy. You will be surprised on how big the laptop is itself. But for the price you really cant get a better deal!

Generally i7 fourth gen with quad core is an excellent processor. very good to build a sever grade machine. I love this processor to build linux and try docker containers on that. with 12 GB memory and 1 TB disk, i use ( dual boot, windows and linux) for server grade Linux machine. so far no issues..

This laptop has all the features I was looking for compared to my previous HP laptop adding discrete video, full HD touchscreen, gigabit ethernet and USB 3.0. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there are just a few things missing on the keyboard compared to my previous laptop. There is no num lock indicator, no wifi enabled indicator on the F12 key, and the context menu key equivalent to a right click is missing.

I have had it for a few months now and I love it! I was in a situation where I need a personal laptop because my last laptop died after 8-years. I also teach part time so I use it quite a bit. I have never had an HP so far to GREAT. I am noticing a slight issue with the sleep functions...which I am monitoring.

I read many reviews because I was purchasing a refurbished laptop and I was in the market for specific features. I have 3 complaints... 1) The laptop pictured is not what arrived 2) The listing says the laptop has a backlit keyboard, but it doesn't 3) The "O" button doesn't work right and it's very frustrating when I'm typing essays for school. I end up with a lot of words without the "O" Aside from the 3 complaints, I like the laptop and the touchscreen (new to me). I bought the i7 processor because the very helpful best buy employee recommended it for the online classes I'm taking. It's been able to keep up with everything I've had to do so far.

Bought this for our Business Administrator to track personnel benefits, vacation,health plans, and also oversee Quick Books data. She really likes it's fast response time.

I spent quite some time researching for a new laptop... This one had everything that I was looking for and taking advantage of the refurbished program got it with a huge discount!

For some reason this computer will not recognize my Passport external Hard drive and half the time I can't get the DVD drive door to open. Also the computer does not wake upon opening I have to remove the battery and un-plug reinsert the battery and re-plug then turn on with the power button. I don't know why all this is happening, but I am not pleased for an almost $800.00 price even though it is a referb, I still expected it would work like a new one, but I was fooled.

Good computer at a great price! Refurbishment was very good, didn't notice anything different than a new machine. Overall very user friendly, performance for light gaming, internet, word processing, and streaming are excellent. Best of all, doesn't overheat like some OP laptops.

I love it and it meets my needs. You wouldn't know it's refurbished. Just like new

Battleship specs, a gorgeous display, and a great value on the refurb model. There's nothing I don't love about this computer. (And I easily installed Windows 10; it runs great!)

The image provided is not the actual product. The mouse pad is actually a "control zone" pad. meaning it has buttons on the sides for windows 8. I'm now sure what they will do on windows 10. After playing a game on the laptop for 4 hours, the computer started to give up. The game froze, and i couldn't exit the game and had to do a hard boot. It then took 20 minutes to start up again (had to repair the drive). After the laptop started up every attempt to play the game resulted in the whole system freezing and was able to exit the game by logging of (which took another 20 minutes). once i was out of the game, i watched the task manager for a good 5 minutes, the hard drive usage was a constant 100% used. upon looking at other reviews for this laptop, i found that multiple people have reported horrible hard drive speeds. They all suggest upgrading the hard drive. But i didn't want to put more money into the laptop. so i returned it within the warranty period.

I bought this after a search of laptops that maxed out as many criterion as possible. At 17 inches, 1080p, i7, and dedicated graphics, I was finding computers in the $1000 range. This computer has left me pleasantly surprised. The screen is beautiful, the processor is fast and the dedicated graphics (even if just entry evel) enables much faster photo processing times. There were many reviews trashing the hard drive as being loud which I was willing to accept however my computer is silent. If not for the 1TB space I could have been fooled into thinking it was a SSD. But upon looking up the device manager/ hard drive specs I was able to see the make and model and found it to be 4.5/5 stars on amazon with several thousand reviews. So if it had a loud hard drive when built, it has since been replaced in the refurb process (my assumption). All in all, this is a solid machine coming from an HP refurbishment facility. This is my second refurbished laptop purchase and I don't think I'd ever buy brand new again. The refurbs are solid!
