I am having a horrible time with this printer. My son-in-law helped me set it up and it worked perfect for 3 weeks, now I cannot get it to print anything from my computer NOTHING. It says printer is busy, and another item says where is the location and I have only one computer set up to use this printer.

I have always liked HP, but not this time. The printing is ok, but using the printer is a real pain. To have to go into the app to use it so many times is a real pain, especially for scanning. I had to reinstall it several times & finally gave up & connected directly. I won’t buy this type of printer again.

Have to download the app to use and send an email for wifi printing for any device you use...auto feeder I haven’t even figured out yet...no words on it just these lame icons that have no meaning and are not defined in the user manual...but I could have downloaded one I guess...lame overall

After 3.5 hours on the phone with HP tech support, the printer still does not stay connected to my brand new Google Wifi mesh network. Every other device in my house, including an Epson printer from 2013, stays connected to the network!

Too much time wasted with "offline" error

Do not buy this printer! It "goes to sleep" all the time and does not wake up unless it is unplugged and then plugged back in. It sometimes takes multiple tries to get it to "wake up". The latest screw up it did, it won't print because it says there is a door open. What!?!?! There isn't even a door on this thing. Open cover, open & close paper tray. Error doesn't clear. Unplug yet again... still open door error. JUNK!!! Yes, I contacted HP and went through their troubleshoot instructions. They came up with "unplug and plug back in".

I don't like the fact that the only way to interact with this machine is through the AP. I've also found it to jam easily when you print envelopes and if it's out of paper or gets jammed I've had to unplug the unit for 60 plus seconds to clear the memory.
I would not recommend this printer.

This printer has an error every time I print. Most of the time opening and closing the paper tray is enough to fix the issue. Having to do that every single time I print is a big pain in the neck.

To set up the printer, you need to download an app. Once in the app, it sends your email a link to install the printer. If you want to scan, you scan with the app on your phone not on the machine itself. It prints instructions that you don't need and thereby uses ink for no reason.
