Bought this in late July for home based business. Does everything I have needed up to this point. Relatively easy to set up, works well with my WiFi so I can actually print something from my cell phone which is very convenient. Scanning functions are many so I'm still learning to use them, ADF works perfectly, no jams or misfeeds. Yes, its a copier, too. All three sizes operate as designed. No jams or misfeeds there either. Print product is readable and sharp. Haven't really tried to print photos so the jury is still out on that aspect, but don't expect any less than the best from this unit. Many possible uses that still require time to give a true evaluation of the product but so far its a win-win, so, I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Worth the price.

I purchased the HP Officejet Pro 7740 and received it 2 days ago. I love it since it is a great improvement from the officejet 4650 I was using. It is humongous compared to my old one but still not that heavy. The setup was so easy that I completed in less than a minute including the wireless connection. So far I find it very fast, reliable and I expect the ink cartridges to last more since they are all XL type. The quality of the printouts are even much better than a laser printer. I read so many reviews before buying it and found the negative ones not true. This is a very powerful printer that cover printouts from an envelope size to 11x17 paper. Really I recommend it to quality seekers.

After reading a lot of positive reviews for this printer I decided to buy one to replace an old Epson Workforce printer that no longer worked. The first printed I received would feed 2 sheets of paper for every single page print wasting paper and resulting in me needing to print everything 2 times. It would feed in 2 sheets and print the top 1/4 inch on one sheet and the rest on the 2nd sheet. I assumed after dealing with this for a week that it was a defective printed. I contacted best buy and got a replacement sent out. When the replacement arrived I was out of town on a business trip and I didn't get the 2nd one setup for a few weeks. Unfortunately for me the 2nd printer has the exact same issue and I was outside of the return policy. The fact that both printers have the same feed issue makes me think this is a defect in this model of printer. I never had issues like this with my Epson. One other feature its lacking but I didnt notice immediately is the ability to scan 11 x 17 documents from the top auto feed, That's a feature I used all the time and now I have to do it manually on the glass. Terrible feature to not include on a larger format printer. The print quality is good but overall I'm very disappointed in this printer for the reasons stated above.

Great product for the price. Needed a printer capable of 11” x 17” printing and this printer fit the bill. Double sided printing even with the larger paper was a bonus.

Works great but the 1 issue I have has to do with the 11x17 paper tray. Both tray 1 and tray 2 have an item attached to the tray that limits how much 11x17 paper can be put in the tray. The picture has it in the red square. It doesn't limit the letter or legal size, only the 11x17. Is that its purpose or can I remove the annoying widget in my 11x17 tray?

The team was very helpful and understanding. Although, when I began setting up my printer the cartridge is not moving. Not sure if it Is a Best Buy or HP issue. But it is pretty frustrating that I cannot use my printer.

Got this printer a little over a month ago. It’s way bigger than I initially thought. I tested out the quality of the printing on higher quality paper and the colors are pretty rich and vibrant. However, not so much on lower quality paper. Set up was fairly simple, took maybe 20 minutes or less. Synced up to my computer fairly effortlessly thanks to the WiFi. So far it seems to do everything I expected. It didn’t blow my mind or anything but it does do the job. Haven’t re-upped on ink yet so don’t know how long it lasts or anything like that. Even though it’s pretty integrated it’s still quite simple. Would recommend for small office/team or even as a home office printer for a family who might put a higher than normal demand on their home printer...if not I would get something a bit smaller and more economical.

This a does everything it should do with the added feture of extra long print format WIDE-FORMAT 11 x 17 inches and Scan legal size 8.5 x 14.0 inches. The two paper trays are very convenient as you can load two different types / sizes of paper, one in each tray. Typical high HP quality. Two negatives I have found with this HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 AllinOne (Reasons I gave the four star review instead of 5 star) 1. Scans in only 24 bit Color not 48 bit. I should have read the specifications a little closer. This means scans are not top notch quality. This is a needed improvement for the next model, hint to HP. 2. Not part of the HP Instant Ink program :-( I hope HP adds this printer to that program as I saved a lot of money with my old printer using that program. Aside from those two negatives this has been a great, reliable and responsive machine. It was easy to set up and has maintained its connection to the network even after a power outage. When the power came back on all I had to do was turn the printer power back on and it was still connected to the network and internet. Keep in mind however this is much larger than the average HP OfficeJet Pro and heavier. Keep that in mind when selecting a place to install this. Dimensions in inches 23.0 x 18.38 x 15.10 and Weight is 42.9 lb, yes almost 43 pounds. So ensure you have a sturdy stand to hold it. If the two negatives above are not a problem for you then this printer / scanner / Fax will serve you well.

This product was quickly shipped. The setup was a breeze and the options are great. I am replacing a HP 7500 printer that has seen its better days. This printer is fast and the print quality is excellent for an inkjet printer. A sturdy stand is recommended for this printer as it shakes a bit while printing. This can be alleviated some with ability to slow the printer down in the settings. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a duplex and ledger/tabloid size printer.

Looked for months for a multifunction printer that can print/scan 11” X 17”. With the sale price and coupon from recycling an old printer, purchased price was lowest I can find online or at a brick and mortar. Printer is beautifully designed and print speed and quality is touch notch. Easy initial setup with seamless wireless printing capabilities from laptop to mobile devices. Couldn’t be any happier with service from Best Buy or HP product.

Great printer! I work from home and my wife is a teacher, so needless to say that this thing gets put to good use. It prints quickly and with good quality. Also, it's convenient that it has 2 paper trays so you're not constantly reloading paper. We use it exclusively as a wireless printer and haven't had any issues with print jobs from our computers or our cell phones. The only downside to this printer is the size and weight, it's massive.

The printer works great and meets all of my needs. I have been using laser printers for the last 10 years and was nervous about going to an ink jet because of issues with ink drying up in-between uses. Thankfully, that is not an issue with this printer. It has worked flawlessly for the last 6 months. The auto-duplex feature is great and it has been nice having the ability to print 11 x 17 prints. The only reason I'm not giving the printer 5 stars is that it is huge and louder than I expected. I knew it was going to be large, but I didn't plan on it being quite as big as it turned out and then requiring even more space for the paper output. I run the printer at full speed, but if you are willing to slow down the print output, there is an option to quiet down the printing process. Other than this minor complaints, I am very happy with the printer and would definitely purchase it again.

I've owned this printer for a little over a year, and it's been smooth sailing all along. I regularly print single and double-sided b&w or color sheets in 8-1/2 x 11 and 8-1/2 x 14 for some volunteer work that I do. I believe we've printed over 1500 pages this last year. Ink cost seems average. Print Quality is exceptional for office printing (haven't done photos). I actually always print in draft mode and the quality is good enough to use as a final print (for color charts, maps, and other office docs). Know that the printer is large in size. I can't fault it for being so large when it has the ability to print 11x17, but just in case anyone thought they could just clear a corner on their small desk to put this printer - it is better off on it's own piece of furniture. We have it on a little 2'x2' platform and I believe it overhangs a little. One little annoyance is that I haven't figured out how to default the printer to auto-select by paper size, and I find it best to check the settings with every print I do (using Windows 10). I hope they fix this software/driver issue. I think the hardware is top quality.

I recently purchased the HP Officejet Pro 7740 after my HP Officejet 7610 finally died. I needed a printer that could print 11x17 format and this one is terrific. The setup was so easy that I completed it in less than a minute using the wireless connection. I had reviewed the specs and was fully aware that the auto feeder does not scan 11x17 documents, but you can still scan them manually on the flat bed. One of the really nice features is that the printer has two drawers for holding different size paper, plus the ability to print on both sides. This printer is awesome and you can’t beat the price.
