It's confusing. It doesn't always respond. It's frozen up on me. I had to unplug it for an hour, the usual off/on didn't work. It says to leave it on all the time but when I didn't use it for a week, I had to do an off/on. I had an older model with the same options that worked better but developed a problem with one ink cartridge that made it obsolete. But I did get about 10 Yrs. out of it. I don't know about this one.

This printer is very noisy and frequently flashes error messages of being disconnected from the computer system and no longer able to scan. I hate this printer.

Not as good as its predecessor - that I had for at least a decade. Clunky and limited. I've called for assistance at least six times. Good news is that the Service folks really are terrific. Gotta say that I had the Instant Ink service. Way too expensive for what I actually use.

Initial setup refused to work. Waited for centuries on hold to talk to HP support. Could barely understand them. They kept reading the same crap to me that I had already been reading in their troubleshooting pages. Finally, got to 2nd level support and they wouldn't help anymore except to say the started cartridges were "probably corrupted". They weren't sure, just guessing. They said they'd send out new starter cartridges to arrive within 10 days. They never came.

This is my third HP office jet in 20 years. Great product.
Had Best Buy install which made my life easy. Works faster than my old series. Takes up less room, too.
