Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the performance, screen quality, and GPU of the 15.6" Gaming Laptop, citing smooth gameplay and excellent visuals. However, some users noted that the battery life could be improved and that the fan can be noisy during demanding tasks. The keyboard and lightweight design also received positive feedback. A few customers felt the price was high.

Hp has always been the laptop of choice for me. New to the gaming side, but I'm excited about the purchase. Learning how to use the AMD, Omen & Geforce installed programs have been blowing my mind. Everything is easy to function and read i.e. Performance overlay after you find what is what. The keys feel so crisp. I hope my Oculus Quest is compatible with HP Omen, I only had the laptop for 3 days and haven't gotten that far to download whatever is needed for VR experience. I haven't found Onward as a downloadable game. Material of the laptop is great quality, the HPs I had in the past were too! Great machine so far to break me into the gaming community Cons: -Not use to not having 10 key! -It didn't come with a manual -I'm not sure how to turn on RTX, still. I think its on automatically or maybe when i switched the performance levels in AMD/Geforce etc.. (this is because I'm new to gaming, lol)

This laptop is fast and dependable. I added an additional SSD and am using this as my work computer. The only thing I don't like is the dual GPU as it confuses some of my software. Other than that it is a great value.

Love this laptop. Plays all the games I play with all the settings maxed out without breaking the bank. The keyboard feels nice and the trackpad works great. And for general computing needs the battery life if around 6 hours.

Good build quality, solid performance. With gaming, everything has ran very smooth at the highest settings. No complaints after a month of use, was fairly easy to add another m.2 ssd for additional storage as well.

This thing runs amazing! I would recommend this to anyone needing a laptop for any reason! However, the fans get pretty loud and it gets kind of awkward in school classrooms or anything of the such.

So far I haven't put it through many tests. I bought it for a class I'm taking for school that requires having the specs this machine comes factory installed with. As far as boot up time from boot up to ready to use - less than 10 secs. Shut down is very smooth as and fast as well. I haven't played any graphic intensive games on it yet to really see it's CPU, GPU and memory utilizations. Overall, I'm pleased with it. My only complaint so far is that the batter does seem to drain fairly fast when I'm in a zoom call with school. Otherwise, no other complaints.

So, bought this because I hardly have time to get on my desktop rig anymore. Needed something more portable that I could easily hook up anywhere I went. I already own an HP Omen 30L w/ ryzen 7 and an RTX2060, so I wanted something in the same realm. I decided on this one instead of the Intel version HP had on their website. So far I love it. I was worried about the color because it says Mica Silver but it pulls more black in my opinion. Game performance is great, specifically booted up Far Cry 6 today and could run ultra 1080p at a steady 60fps. Usually on Dayz or Hell Let Loose and those both run on high settings 60fps no problem. I would definitely recommend a decent set of headphones. The laptop does a good job of keeping everything cool although every 5 minutes, the RPM on the fans will kick up and it will sound like a jet for a second while it tries to bring the temperatures down. So yeah, headset is kind of a must for gaming. Otherwise during non labor intensive things like watching YouTube or zoom meetings, its not loud at all. You HAVE to keep this thing plugged in all the time though. Battery life is abysmal, I knew this going into it so it wasn't a big deal for me but if you're looking for something that can survive a long road trip, you could maybe get 4 to 5 hours out of it if you keep your brightness down and keyboard backlight off. Forget about gaming without it plugged in, you need the power supply to juice that 3060 anyway. the RGB zones on the keyboard are nice, laptop doesn't feel flimsy in any way which is a plus. Some people have been complaining about the touch pad being a little too "clicky" or having a "click" sound when you barely touch it and I totally get that, I normally use a mouse though so its not a problem for me. Overall, would definitely recommend this if you're looking for something that can play the latest games at 1080p 60fps no problem or hooked up to an external monitor for 4k. Although getting 60fps at 4k is going to depend what youre playing.

The device overall is amazing! But my problem is the keyboard. I don't know if it's a defect with my Omen 15, or design flaw but sometimes, when I'm gaming especially, pressing some keys, like when I'm using WASD, it fails to read one of these keys and I have to press it again (you can immediately press it again to get it read). It doesn't happen too often to make it unplayable, but enough for me to notice it. It's not limited to those keys, I believe it's the whole keyboard since I also played other games that use the right side of the keyboard and sometimes they don't read inputs. (Also, it gets a little too warm on that side, prob cause that's where another vent is at or something). I read reviews online and they said they also experienced this issue. So if you think this will bother you, your either should find a different laptop or buy an external keyboard. Overall, this laptop is great. Would I recommend it? Definitely. The screen looks amazing and it's my first time gaming at frames above 60hz and the laptop is cool enough to not burn my lap whenever I do use it like that. I like how you have to press the power button for a second for it to sleep in case you accidentally press it. Definitely worth my money.

Its excellent for gaming. Great midrange computer. Will need a thermal paste reapplication if you don't want to melt your CPU. I have seen a lot of reviews with complaints about the screen flickering, but I have not faced the problem myself. The screen is crisp and the colors are great. The build quality feels solid. I have been able to run every type of game smoothly even with ultra settings. Its the ultimate midrange gaming laptop if you don't mind a few minor tweaks.

I love almost everything about this laptop. Pros: -Super fast (ryzen 5800 is amazing, and rtx 3060 plays cp2077 at max settings no prob) - Great screen -Affordable for the specs -has a 200w charger -rgb keyboard is not as gaudy and ridiculous looking as most gaming laptops. Cons: -Touchpad is a little too "clicky." It works fine, and I don't think it's broken in any way.. it just seems like it should be a bit more rigid. I read about this before purchasing, and sure enough it's true. -no usb-c power delivery -no thunderbolt

My first laptop had a broken key but it was changed by the store as quickly as they had more of these available. I'm not surprised it's currently unavailable because it is a great gaming computer. I can run heavy-duty games on it though it gets a bit hot so I have a fan base for it. It's been one year and it still runs like new. I'm in absolute love.

This labtop was definitely worth the money I paid for it. I’ve been using it to play games, and to do my engineering homework for school. It has never had a problem running anything, the battery leaves something to be desired when running full settings but the computer offers a simple slider to lower performance in exchange for better battery life

This is a great laptop - IMO you'll be getting more value on this model than the Intel base, I had some issues with other machines, and this was an exchange, I'm glad I followed the Bestbuy person who was giving me the advise, games just run as smooth as other models that were 400-600 dollars more expensive when I got this one.
