Not the most powerful laptop, but good enough for just about anything you can throw at it, long as you're willing to compromise on visual fidelity. The omen software is strangely buggy but largely not an issue. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles but it's physical design is sleek and unassuming; it won't turn heads which in my opinion is good. Better than a jumbo sized angular faux-chrome plated chassis and so on. The fans on max power are very, very loud. That being said, you realisitcally shouldn't be pushing the pc to that point anyway, it wears out your fans. Otherwise the heat management seems fine, like any high power laptop you should have it propped up to expose the intake vent for better cooling. The battery usage is humongous. Don't expect more than an hr or so before you go from max charge to 25%. Upside is that it charges very quickly, so as long as your power brick is nearby the battery consumption shouldn't be much of an issue. The colors on the screen baseline are somewhat faded, ans the 1080p screen definitely hampers visuals. If you want a nice looking screen, might as well buy a separate monitor and hook it up thru hdmi or dp. Or buy a desktop. This laptop can serve as a portable computer but can be hooked up with an ethernet cable, second monitor, wired/wireless keyboard & mouse, and so on to make a more stationary setup. I've even been able to get it to handle Quest 2 PCVR with decent results, though the 16gb RAM causes it to throttle at some points. The RAM can be upgraded either way.

I just upgraded from a 1660 ventus with a gen 9 i5 and i gotta say for all the mixed reviews on the 4050 im pretty impressed. Im able to run majority of games at max setting acheiving high fps. The laptop fans are loud gaming extensively. I do alot of gaming and i do graphics designs and this laptop does it all really well. -500 off, cant beat the deal for an upgrade.

I love this laptop. I use it for photo editing and video creation instead of gaming. Love how fast it is. First time the fan kicked on it scared the bejesus out of me but it's all good. Worth the money and graphics are phenomenal.

It's a good size laptop, but it is really loud when the fans turn on and it has a short battery life

Nice laptop. I did upgrade the memory to 32GB. Fan speed is very loud and it almost feels like the intermittent fan speeds slow the machine down.

The keys are super big, kinda hard to get used to when you used to have a number pad on the side. Also the fans are loud on bare minimum games such as skyrim! Still good

After i purchased this laptop I noticed it was making a sounds because of the fans. After using it for awhile. I don’t know why was it very loud. Also, the brightness it was like yellow. I didn’t like that. The quality was okay as well.

Im blown away by how well this laptop performs at the price i got it at. I purchased the omen when it was on sale for 899 and wow im impressed. First it runs all big demanding games with ease at max settings for example i ran forza with the settings maxed and could still get 90-100 frames. Also its great for school work being able to handle multiple tabs while still maintaining the speed. All in all my only complaint is how loud the fans get but its a gming laptop so its to be expected good price for what you get even at retail. 100% recommend
