This laptop is amazing, bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Shes real big into gaming and this computer meets all her gaming needs. Definitely worth the money. Only issue is battery life but its better than others.

The Laptop is good with the best configs. Display is great as expected. Battery is not that long lasting. Other than its a 5 Star Purchase. I will recommend.

I do not use this laptop for gaming so refer to the other reviews if thats what you are here for. I use this laptop to edit large file 4k videos. The editing program runs very smooth minor glitches however not a big deal could be the actual editing program and not the computer. This computer will render a long 4k video very fast after editing. Runs photoshop very fast and smooth for editing large file photos. So far its a great laptop for editing 4k videos and content creation. The OLED screen looks amazing as well.

Great performance and an amazing display ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been really impressed with this laptop so far. The combination of the Intel Core Ultra 9-275HX and RTX 5080 delivers incredible performance. It runs modern games at high or ultra settings without issues, and multitasking with 32GB RAM feels extremely smooth. The 16" OLED 240Hz display is easily the highlight. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the high refresh rate makes gameplay look incredibly smooth. It’s also great for watching movies or doing creative work thanks to the sharp 2560×1600 resolution. (Best Buy) Build quality feels solid and the design looks clean and professional instead of overly flashy. The cooling system does a good job keeping temperatures under control during long gaming sessions, although the fans can get a bit loud under heavy load. Battery life is average for a gaming laptop, so you’ll want to keep it plugged in for the best performance. Battery life. This is my first gaming laptop and first oled screen I absolutely love both. The gaming has been amazing but i switched from macbook m1 (which was my first laptop in general) so I was use to charging every other day. Now i have to charge every 1-2 hours which sucks but overall having this still feels like an upgrade. Went all in and bought a oled monitor as well so i cant wait until its all setup

really wanted to love this computer—its design and keyboard were outstanding, and nearly everything seemed perfect. However, after getting the laptop, I quickly ran into a major issue with battery life. Playing any video game required keeping it plugged in at all times, I noticed that when it was charging, it could push 4K resolution at 240+ FPS in most games. But the moment I unplugged it—what I like to call my "mobile desktop"—the performance dropped drastically to 20 FPS, with frequent freezing even at 1080p. After extensive research, I discovered that this was a common issue. The battery simply couldn't provide the minimum wattage the laptop needed, making wall power the only viable option for gaming. Additionally, while using the laptop, I often experienced glitches when trying to open multiple applications. It felt like the components weren’t working cohesively, leading to a sluggish and disjointed experience overall. Ultimately, after dealing with these frustrations, I returned the laptop and opted for the Omen 14 4070 i9 instead. This model proved to be much smoother, capable of gaming on the go, and delivered incredible battery life. Its compact form factor, excellent build quality, and responsive keyboard made it the perfect upgrade for my needs.

Great laptop, very heavy but definitely a beast! Keys feel great to type on, screen is SO smooth, ran all new AAA games on ultra with 60+ fps. WOuld highly recommend. Fans are SO loud, especially compared to my girlfriends Legion i5 with a 5070 Ti, which is much quieter and gets great performance as well.

OLED screen is wonderful to look at. 5080 ran games at high and HP’s new thermal setup makes the laptop cool to the touch. A little keyboard flex and I don’t know if the trackpad is suppose to be clickable everywhere, but my unit does. No coil whine at high temps. Power adaptor is quite portable. HP did a geat job here.

This thing runs CAD and printer software with ease along with the few games that we have. The download speeds are great and the picture is phenomenal. On its own the battery doesn’t last real long but it has a lot to run.

Most people buying a 5080 in a laptop know what they are getting as far as capability os concerned. What I enjoy most about this setup is how well the system is able to control heat dissipation. Easily the best I have ever used. Most gaming laptops under heavy load can reach temperatures that cause concern and even allow the keyboard to be hot to the touch. Not this one. Yes, the fans can get loud but that should be expected. What I really appreciate is that it stays cool to the touch while running at max settings which allows the system to run smoothly and efficiently without the thermal throttle at the cost of performance. Sweet system.

Excellent laptop, a bit heavy weight, but great processing for gaming and graphics

Good laptop overall. Has some issues that concern me about longevity of the laptop. Super fast, great design. Has some crashing issues and can’t handle some games I play.

This computer is excellent. The quality of screen is immaculate with its HDR graphics. The battery life is also very good, even when turned up to maximum performance. This is a perfect computer for portable gaming and school work. Definitely worth the money! The fans are super quiet and efficient, so working in a quiet classroom or meeting will be no problem.

Expectations were exceeded with this HP Omen laptop. I've yet to find another with a better screen. The graphics card is great. It was also competitively priced. Overall very happy with the performance. I would recommend this laptop.

This is much better than last years 14 inch transcend model. This is absolutely a beast machine and a must have! The graphics is amazing and its very smooth. When loading heavy graphic based games this laptop runs it like nothing. Especially the beautiful 240hz OLED screen its just stunning! If you have the budget I would definitely get this laptop, you wont be disappointed!

It has been almost a month now and I have to say I'm impressed. Never had any HP before, for well known heating issues, but this Omen laptop has shut down all my doubts. Cooling system is extremely efficient, you have to tweak a little bit on BIOS and OMEN Hub and then it is perfect!! The 5080 is beyond my expectations, gone are the days of 30 to 65 fPS, any game, any setting I have thrown at it just works flawlessly. As others has reviewed, OLED screen is good but NOT that good, is ok, as me and any serious gamer will use external monitor, same goes for keyboard. Overall, I'm glad I took the decision to buy HP, despite bad reputation due to heating in the past, but it is the past, so good for now, specially in these RTX50XX series drought. Optimus video switcher is a very bad idea, or Idk if it is bad HP implementation but hinders ability to fully setup external monitors properly.

Amazing screen and performance but compared to other competitors like the zephyrus g16 is not as portable

Pad mouse freezes sometimes and I don't like the computer port for the electrical plug. Computer electrical port is old school and they don't last as long as the USB-C. Otherwise, great computer. P.S.- Some of the software is slightly different than the past.
