This is a great desktop computer, in that it runs fast, has a 1T hard drive, and a 2.4G processor, plenty of memory, came with a mouse and keyboard, and I hooked up my existing monitor. It is easy to use. I will be happy when Microsoft comes out with Windows 10, and I will download and install it. My last PC was a Vista, so adjustments are required to get used to it.

We bought this computer to replace our five year old one. I love the smaller thumb print. It takes up half the space of our old computer. But yet it's much faster and has a bigger hard drive. It's a little difficult moving from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. Iam not fund of that but am told Windows 10 will be out this summer and we will be ableto get a free up grade. I will be looking forward bto that. I would recommend this computer to family and friends that are not into gaming.

Good computer but lacking in the accessories

My HP with Windows 7 had died, and I thought this computer was a great price (on sale) for 8GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive. It's quick to boot up and functions well. I really didn't want to have to use Windows 8.1, but I found a program to simulate the functions of Windows 7, so I'm happy with that. What I found completely lacking on this system was the cheap-o mouse that didn't work well and the lame keyboard. I rarely make mistakes on typing, and I find that I make many with the keyboard provided. I've already swapped out the chintzy mouse and am using my old mouse. When I "wheel down" on a mouse, I expect that it actually does so .. the mouse would scroll to a certain point and then no further on the screen. When I swapped out my old mouse, I didn't have that issue. I don't want to bother returning the product, so I'm just using my old mouse. If I don't get used to the keyboard, I'll use my old one as well. I was a bit disappointed to see HP's quality substandard for the accessories. Just my opinion, but it seems like HP cheaped out on those two items. I'm happy with the computer, though. I usually have several windows open and multitask, and this computer fits the bill.

I replaced a Windows Vista PC with this computer. Although, I'm not thrilled with Windows 8.1, I'm looking forward to Windows 10 which was included. This computer seems much faster and I'm generally pleased with its performance. A few more USB ports might have been nice, although those are easily added with an inexpensive external hub.

This is powerful mid-size tower with all the storage your need for your day-to-day work. Easy to connect to screen with HDMI. It is fast, very, very quiet in operation and does not take up too much space.

The PC works well, Has plenty of memory and storage for the average user. Not a fan of Win 8 but Classic Shell made it easy to get around until I get over it. The free trial of Webroot AV software was nice, and I won't be going back to my old AV software. Only 1 downside so far has been fewer USB ports than my old PC, but was easily solved with an Insignia USB hub

Replaced a Gateway with Windows Vista with this machine. Pros- compact design, easy set up, Windows key on keyboard Cons- Windows 8 a little confusing to get used too, only 4 USB ports. Purchased a 4 port USB connector and everything fine.

The HP Slimline computers are the best. They fit into small spaces yet have the power of the larger PCs. Mine has an Intel i5 chip and 8MB of Ram along with 1TB of disk space. It's wireless so one less cord to deal with. Comes with Windows 8.1, up-gradable to Windows 10. And it's fast. For the money, it's a great small PC.

My grandmother asked me to build/buy her a new computer. I searched around and found that this would be the best bang for the buck. It is very compact, quiet, and powerful enough to perform basic web browsing and word processing. I paired it with a 21" monitor and some speakers. It does come with a keyboard and mouse which worked perfectly. Recommend this for basic computing needs.

I bought this P.C. for on line schooling & home work. It was easy to set up & works very smoothly. I've had no problems with it for over a month now. I would recommend this HP to anyone looking to get a good P.C. for a very good price. This P.C. is really tailored for internet & home use.

This PC was easy to set up and get going. It's easy to use and quite fast. The hard drive is very large so there is a lot of room for storing pics, videos, etc etc. This was an excellent buy especially for the price!

I am new to Windows 8, but it is easy to learn and use. This particular computer runs smoothly and quietly and has had zero problems so far. I have a relatively small computer desk and this tower fits perfectly without taking up too much space. I definitely recommend it. A++

This tower does what it should, getting it connected out of the box was really easy, but the windows 8 is not too user friendly. I've had a trying time to just down loading pictures, then couldn't find them. It's like learning a computer all over again, so things take longer to do. If I were to buy again, I would look for one with windows 7. If it had windows 7 I would have rated it excellent.

Bought this computer to replace a Dell that died an early death. It is very quiet and seems to be a fast machine. Start up was very quick and the Windows 8.1 has some fixes from 8.0 that I like. The brand name is HP but some of the software on it is Lenovo. So I expect it was actually built by Lenovo. The only complaint I have about it is that it could use 2 or 3 more USB ports on the back of the case.
