Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Spectre Folio Leather 2-in-1 laptop for its luxurious leather design, portability, and touchscreen capabilities. They appreciate its thin and light profile, as well as its impressive battery life and performance. However, some customers have expressed concerns about its price, below-average speakers, limited RAM, short warranty, and the pen's slippery tip.

Great device. I’m just so used to Apple, but especially being 2 n 1 touch screen this is handy. I wish it was more like a tablet and you could change covers and keyboards. Leather is nice though. I don’t like the whole face scan it has never worked.

This is a great laptop for most people who need a proficient, ultra-portable laptop. If you play any demanding games, you probably want a different laptop.

Love the leather folio as it makes the laptop look like a notebook. Touchscreen allows it to be used as a tablet. It does need an adapter since the slimness of the laptop doesn’t allow use of a full size USB.

The computer to tablet is fantastic! I use the tablet version often to play games and the computer version for work. The leather folio has a great color and rich feel. I love the fact that it is a touchscreen as well.

Will continue evaluated over the next few months. Pros it’s nice and Light. Cons it’s a little cumbersome to plug-in to the porch with the way the portfolio fits over the edge.

Wonderful HP product, the ability to use it as a touch screen is wonderful The lather cover is so nice and gives an expensive feel. It would have been nice if the keyboard was litted, and if it had the standard USB port

Bought for my wife who had to deploy to the middle east with the airforce. She needed a dependable laptop for her work there. So far she said its been awesome! The leather case especially has worked out great in the hot sandy environment.

This is my second SPECTRE and Love the flip Screen for my smaller meetings. As with all SPECTREs I get speed, storage and compactness in an extremely portable unit. The HP assistant is great for keeping critical firmware updated.

Works great to me. I have a lot of tabs open often along with excel and it’s pretty fast. I actually purchased becauSe of the style and the keyboard just felt very natural for me. I rarely play music on this so I couldn’t give you the best review on sound, but it’s stylish and people notice it. I would recommend getting a getting a case for it if you’re going to be traveling often with this laptop. If you’re not going extreme graphics or playing video games. Great laptop at a solid price. May update later, but I love everything about this laptop thus far. I am having an issue with outlook whenever I close the laptop while it’s open. Multiple pop ups come up when I reopen, but that may be an app issue. I’d still recommend.

Love the size and form of this laptop. Very slim and portable. I like the leather cover as well. Easy to carry with a nice display. Small hard drive not really an issue now that everything is cloud based.

I was really excited when this laptop was released. Finally there was something new in the compact laptop world! The integrated leather case was intriguing and the features seemed top notch. HP advertised it as luxury in every way. Something I was looking forward to experiencing. After waiting a couple of months for a decent sale, I finally pulled the trigger. What I was greeted with was cool, a novelty, but in the end not so exciting or groundbreaking. The laptop is fine, the i7 is quick and quiet due to the fan-less design, the screen is adequate, and the case is leather, but I had hoped for more. The case is leather, but we are talking basketball leather, not Hermes leather. It feels more industrial than luxury to me. And the Cognac Brown doesn't remind me of XO Hennesey, it is more like doo doo brown. The ergonomics of the cool multi-position screen were underwhelming as well. In laptop mode it is fine, but the tent mode for media is awkward, I feel like I have to slump down or hunch over to get the right angle. Tablet mode is tablet mode, but who uses a laptop as a tablet anyways? That leads to the included pen which is again fine, but noting great. It seems a little short for normal sized hands but it works and is responsive. Using it in place of the mouse seems like a novelty and indeed lost its appeal after a few minutes, especially when in anything but tablet mode. Also the holder loop for the pen sticks out further than the case and looks really out-of-place when carrying the laptop as a a portfolio. I almost instantly regretted attaching the loop in the first place. So overall it is a fine laptop, but nothing to get excited about. I got a good deal on it, but am still considering a return. If I paid full price it wouldn't have lasted an hour.

Hands down, one of the best 2-in-1s out there! It is light and portable, yet pretty powerful. Beautiful design that immediately hints luxury. The leather cover protects the surface of the laptop from fingerprints (regular Spectre laptops are fingerprint magnets) and pretty much acts as a case, although a non-removable one. The display is gorgeous with a fine-looking brightness. The keyboard feel pleasant to type on. The only major drawback of this model is probably the low repairability score. It is not easy to get inside this machine or even to remove the leather cover. A battery replacement, for instance, will take some effort and time. Other than that, I love this laptop

I purchased this laptop April 2019. It is now September 2021. The touch screen is malfunctioning horribly and there is no efficient way to contact HP for timely assistance and licensed service centers of HP cannot fix the problem. It is likely a hardware issue, which means it needs to be replaced, which is more money out of your pocket after spending over $1500 for the laptop. If you use the laptop for school or work/business, you will need at least 16GB of RAM so the laptop will not overheat due to the amount of activity. Do not buy this one with 8GB of RAM and try to upgrade the RAM, because that is not option. You can only upgrade the storage. This laptop is not a good investment and just looks good, but does not function well past the first year.

Words can't describe the overall look, design and feel. This is a statement computer. The downside is the sacrifice in limited memory and storage space. Depending on the performance needs, this unit may be limited by the currently available memory options. I love the look and feel, but need to sacrifice those likes for more robust platform options.
