So i bought this laptop on the 18th. Before i bought it, I was playing with the demo and I have to saw it just looked cool and awesome at the same time! When I got home I immediately turned it on. The keyboard feels downright amazing and responsive! The track pad is cool but takes getting used to. Speakers are nice and clear. Only thing i noticed was that the brightness/colors aren't as vibrant as my other laptop when I put them side by side, but that is to be expected when compared to an ASUS ROG. Anyways, this laptop works just fine. But of course with the installation of a SSD, this thing will spell DOOM for the rebels. I ran Fallout 4 testing the 940m graphics card. Got to say, though no as vibrant of course, its plays smooth. RECOMMEND! -quiet fans -funny themes -great keyboard -1920x1080 awesome. -Not as bright of a screen but acceptable -great laptop feel overall!

It only took about 10 minutes of playing with the demo model in the store to realize that I had to buy this computer. The exterior is well-designed with careful attention to detail including Darth Vader, the Death Star, a Storm Trooper, and Aurebesh lettering. The pictures really don't do this model justice, so if you are considering buying one I highly recommend you take a look in the store, it's amazing! The keyboard is durable, easy to type on, and you can easily turn the red backlighting on and off. I usually use a mouse instead of a trackpad, but the trackpad performs very well and could be used without a mouse. The HD screen is gorgeous, it has a matte finish rather than glossy which really cuts down on glare. The computer comes pre-loaded with lots of fun themes, Star Wars sounds, image galleries, screen savers, Aurebesh font, and movie trailers. The content focuses on Episodes IV-VI, Star Wars Rebels, and the new movie. My favorite features are probably the Death Star Recycle Bin and the R2D2 sound profile that amuses me when e-mails come in and I add or remove a device from the USB port! As far as the computer's performance, I've been extremely happy. Windows 10 is pre-installed and runs very smoothly. I primarily use it for office functions, videos, music, web-browsing, and photo editing. It comes with plenty of RAM, hard drive space, processing power, and a dedicated video card to do all of these things with ease. I've had a ton of programs open simultaneously and haven't noticed any sluggish behavior. The audio sounds great via both the built-in speakers and headphones. If you are a Star Wars fan who is in the market for a new laptop, please check this computer out, it's just so much fun! :)

This HP laptop, is everything a MMO gamer would want, dedicated graphics card, 8 GB memory, which is up gradable. The finish and back lit keyboard is great! The built in themes that HP installed has awesome visual appeal, and fits perfectly with the Star Wars theme. If you need a gaming laptop, you will not be disappointed!

Obviously many who take a look at this machine are intrigued by the Star Wars Special Edition; my favorite part on that side of it are the external aesthetics and the notification sound options for the laptop. On the Technical side: I would venture a guess that this machine falls somewhere in the lower to middle end of upper-tier laptops. Most important note: It runs Windows 10, but DOES NOT HAVE TOUCHSCREEN. This did not matter to me as I am a little too "traditional" when it comes to computers, but I realize for some it could be a deal breaker. For my purposes and gaming interests (mostly older games via Steam) it doesn't even break a sweat, but an i7 should take most anything you throw at it anyway, and unless you run some heavy software, the 8GB of RAM is quite sufficient. The integrated graphics are solid (serious photography/gaming users should do further research just in case, I lack knowledge in "capacity vs. demand" of more graphics-intensive software), and the trio of one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 works well; I use the 2.0 for my cooling pad fan, and the 3.0 for wireless mouse and flash drive. The quantity and type of USB drives (plus 1 HDMI & 1 Ethernet) are something to compare against personal usage, but one small plus (for some anyway) the machine does have a disc drive, though I must caution that the disc tray is on the delicate side. The back-lit keyboard (red LED--it's the dark side, what do you expect) is a really nice feature and easy to turn on & off; and the audio quality is excellent, employing what is essentially a miniature sound bar above the keyboard and running nearly the width of the machine. I rarely use a 5-star, but I also have yet to be disappointed with this machine's capabilities and performance, and I expect this machine will last for quite sometime.

Laptop works great battery life kinda sucks and Windows is horrible but that can't be avoided. I was great deal considering the same laptop in a different finish was $200 more and this one looks so much cooler

Have had this laptop for just over a month and am very pleased with the look, performance, and support. Not only is it a Star Wars Special Edition, but it is a super gaming laptop. I use several games that include demanding graphics, and they work very nicely on this system. The air system steps up when needed and keeps the system nice and cool. I'd like to add another 8GB of RAM to see if this increases performance speed of Windows 10 and see if I can install my Windows 10 Pro over the Home Addition, without losing the Star Wars Apps. I'm pretty sure I'll have no problem. The only confusion occurred where it says the processor is 6th Generation, but I thought 6th Generation were Quad Core! This processor is Dual Core according to the specs.

I absolutely love my HP Star Wars Edition laptop. It has given me 0 problems and love all fan items and collectors photos and so on, and the packaging...well not gonna give to give everything away. Pros- Star Wars Laptop...duh Cons- although one review says upgraded easily, its totally the hard drive. It does boot kinda slow, but other than that...fine. Also I'd love to be able to throw another 8 gigs in it, but guess somethings you can't always have. All in very happy and a fan so not really much could have turned me off this one.

I really enjoy the look of this Star Wars edition laptop. It's one of two main reasons that I bought it. The second reason is a dedicated graphics card. This laptop is advertised as a "gaming" laptop. True, it will play games much better than standard laptops with out dedicated cards, but don't let the name fool you. This laptop won't play demanding modern games at high settings. Still, it's nice to be able to play a good selection of my Steam library on this laptop. It's also nice to have a laptop that supports 1080p resolution. Of course, being an HP, I had to take the time to uninstall all of the bloatware and garbage programs that HP likes to install on their computers. This frees up space, speeds up startup time, and gets rid of annoying notifications from programs that I'll never use. The biggest drawback, however, is that the computer is still a bit slow despite an i7 and 8 GB of RAM. I removed the 1 TB hard drive and replaced it with a 500 GB solid state drive from my old laptop. After reinstalling Windows 10, updating the drivers, and getting all my programs reinstalled, I was unsuccessful in reinstalling the Star Wars features that came with the laptop. I believe this is due to some form of DRM and the change in hardware that I made. Overall, I'm enjoying my laptop, though I've never really been a fan of HP. The hardware is good, I love the unique look of the laptop, and it's fairly sturdy. For the price, the quality is good and I'm happy with my purchase.

I love my laptop. Everything about it is amazing, the graphics, the memory space, its great. The one thing I don't like is the battery life... But that's to be expected with a gaming laptop. I love that it came with several different star wars themes that can be interchangeable.

I didn't buy it because I was jumping on the bandwagon. I was always a Star Wars fan. I bought it because it was cool looking, the whole laptop is Star Wars themed with a custom programmed version of MS Win10x64, and the specs were decent. To maximize the laptop, I'd recommend swapping and cloning HDD to SSD (installed a 1TB Samsung 850 EVO), the DVDRW for a Blu Ray drive, and adding 16GB of DDR3L dual channel memory. Laptop now can watch Blu Rays and boots into Windows in 4 seconds...

I am very pleased with this technological terror HP has constructed. It's ability to multitask and to run many of today's games has given me great pleasure. The Emperor will not leave me alone now as he constantly enters my quarters and hassles me to get off the computer. He says I must use only the force when searching out rebel scum. However I find his lack of faith in HP very disturbing. The Emperor was also very jealous when he saw that HP has put my image on the casing and not his. This too has given me great pleasure. For this I have given this laptop a 5 star rating and I will allow HP to continue to serve the empire.
