Seems like a solid product but not for my purposes. The headphones themselves are sturdy and comfortable with great sound but when you turn on the 7.1 surround there is a persistent popping. It's the kind of pop you hear when you disconnect your headphones. It's not constant but it is persistent, and only when the 7.1 is on, which is the very reason to drop $120 over other models. I don't know if this happens on PC or PS4 but it is an issue with the PS5. Also, I wouldn't recommend this for console in general because of how short the cord is. It looks long when you link the two cables but you have to clip it on to you or it will keep tugging. Unless you're sitting very near your system it's not ideal.

A game changer for me. I was a cheapskate for too many years playing with earbuds or some awkward combination of headphones for game volume and earbuds for chat (my brother is a Zoom engineer, so we use Zoom for comms). Anyway, after living with these for 7 months, I can whole-heartedly endorse them. The sound quality is great (not too bass-y, not too trebble-y), they don't make my ears "sweat" like some other headphones do, and they are, for the most part, very comfortable. My only gripe would be that the pads don't fit great over my current glasses, and it does cause me a bit of pain where the glasses rest between my head and the foam pad during long gaming sessions.

Got them on sale to keep from disturbing others and to hear over an overly loud central unit. The sound is pretty good, especially for how much what most would consider and upgrade to be would cost, the usb controller/ amp is a nice addition and can do most everything you would need it to. Can't speak to mic quality as I don't use it. Swapped to the cloth pads as soon as I got it, as I wear glasses, definitely recommend doing, but they are very tight, so be patient, and hopefully you have decent hand strength. The app is pretty good, though I wish it would remember your gaming/voice settings when you restart your computer

I admit I've only had this headset a day so far, but I can say I'm happy with it. I upgraded from the original HyperX Cloud headset that I have tried to replace before and just went back to it almost immediately as I didn't like the new one. The old headset is now really wearing out so I needed to find a replacement and decided to try this one out. So far, this is on the same level of comfort for me as my old cloud headset, and has already lasted longer than the other headset I had bought as a replacement before. The sound quality is plenty acceptable for me (I don't care much about the bass sliders, but they work). I mostly game, stream videos/movies, and use discord so I don't need a whole lot. Also, this one is blue (favorite color). I will update this review if anything changes, but hopefully my old headset can stay retired.

Simply said hyper x is a gaming company. They make anything gaming, but that dosent mean they sacrifice any quality! No they make high quality stuff like these headphones with a detachable mic and cable!

Never owned a hyper x headset before. now i can say i probably won't ever own another headset unless it is hyper x! Quality is INCREDIBLE comfort INCREDIBLE price INCREDIBLE, highly recommend this headset TO ANYONE

Excellent headphones for the price I paid . Very good sound , this set can take serious high sounds. Microphone needs improvement but for the price definitely a keeper.

The headphones sound great! It doesn't seem that they actually do 7.1 sound, but more mock 7.1 sound, so instead of it sounding like headphones, it sounds like you're in a room with speakers. Without the USB part, the cable is actually pretty short. with the USB section, it is plenty long. The mic is detachable, which is great, but doesn't have a way of just moving it out of the way without detaching it(short of really bending it out of the way), if you just want to temporarily move it. The biggest gripe I have with the headset is the changeable ear cups. They have an extra set of ear cups with a different feel, which is great! but changing them was a TASK.

Nice headset um feels comfortable and quality headset

Bought these for desktop gaming setup after my studio headphones broke. Sound quality obviously doesn’t have the depth or overall sound quality or bass of the studio headphones with a little bit more sound on the treble side. Clicks of gun reloads and footsteps sound great, gunshots and sonic cracks sound great but a little less bassy. The directionality of 7.1 surround is excellent the microphone is really good for not being a proper recording or studio mic. And durability and adjustability is excellent and the headset is very comfy I can wear for long sessions without getting any discomfort

The sound is nice, there’s a button to switch “7.1 surround” on and off. I wish they were noise canceling. The wire always and I mean Always gets tangled. They are comfortable though, just annoying sometimes with the tangledness. I missed my return/exchange period otherwise I would pay a bit more for something in the Arctic series headsets. I tried connecting to PS4 and I don’t remember getting any sound, I think you have to go to the settings to configure but I was too impatient at that time. Would be nice if it just seamlessly worked after plugging into PS4, a use the PC more anyway. Just something to consider.

The most incredible, and affordable headset I ever bought!

My microphone stopped working after 8 months. They're pretty comfortable on the head without glasses. The spacial accuracy and accuracy of the sound are close but no cigar. They don't fit comfortably with glasses on and the volume buttons on the toggle don't work unless I press pretty hard. Coming from someone who works audio in the production industry, they're definitely not as great as they say

Its hard finding a headset that fits comfortably with glasses. These are great. Love that you can disconnect the mic and there's a control panel. The wire is pretty long, I can walk across my room if I need to. As for the sound quality, it's decent. I've had these for 4 months now, the only thing that bothers me is that the headset has trouble knowing with audio channel to output. Games will play through the chat channel and vice versa when I'm in a voice call. Overall, they're awesome. I got them at full price, and they're definitely worth it on sale.

Overall a very balanced headset. It is by far the most comfortable headset I’ve ever owned and the bass sliders really make a difference. I use it on the PS4 and the sound quality is perfect

Audio sounds amazing but I wish it was a normal audio jack instead of a usb a port to plug in also works with ps5/4

Had some initial issues with sound quality coming from other headphones, but found changing the foam pads with the included alternative really gave it a better sound stage I preferred. Definitely recommending testing out different foam pads as really can affect the sound you hear by a lot! Besides that small nitpick, everything else from the comfort and usability of these headphones are great! Mic is very useful and love the build-quality.

Came from a wireless Headset. So not. If on it being wired. Works well and gets pretty loud. Clean sound.

Hyperx makes great headsets but this one was confusing to use for my pc, the usb adapter was required for surround sound mode but I had issues with sound settings while using the usb for the input. Using the aux port defeated the purpose of buying this specific headset. If you buy make sure you want to have surround sound as well being ok with usb input.
