I’ve been using the HyperX QuadCast S White for a few weeks now for recording audio, and I’m genuinely impressed with its performance. First off, the design is stunning. The white finish is sleek and modern, adding a touch of elegance to my workspace. The RGB lighting is customizable and subtle, which I really appreciate. When it comes to audio quality, this microphone is top-notch. The sound is crystal clear and rich, making it perfect for voiceovers, podcasts, or any kind of audio recording. The built-in shock mount does an excellent job of reducing background noise and handling vibrations. The four different polar patterns allow me to switch between different setups based on the recording environment, which is super helpful. Setting it up was a breeze—just plug it in and you’re good to go. The touch-sensitive mute button is a nice feature as well, making it easy to quickly mute the mic without having to search for a switch. The build quality feels premium, and the included stand is sturdy and holds the mic securely in place. Overall, the HyperX QuadCast S White is a fantastic microphone for anyone who needs high-quality, reliable audio recording. It looks great, sounds amazing, and is easy to use. Highly recommend it!

I use this mic for streaming and recording voiceovers, and it’s been perfect so far. The sound quality is crisp without any background fuzz, and I didn’t have to mess with a bunch of settings to get it working right out of the box. The RGB lighting gives it a nice professional setup vibe without being too flashy. It picks up vocals clearly even when I’m not right up on it, and my viewers noticed the sound upgrade instantly. Definitely worth the price if you want studio-level audio without spending studio money.

Bought this after my expensive blue yeti started acting up. It sounds the same if not better. Very pleased. The tap to mute functionality is 10x better than the blue yetis mute button which doesn't work half the time. The lights are aesthetically pleasing, and the addition of usb-c is a nice touch. As of now I have no complaints.

Fantastic mic with no complaints. I have this mic set up at my desk for recording voice overs and some game chat. Solid mic with crystal clear quality, comes with a built in shock mount, stand, fully customizable RGB and an internal Pop Filter. Has 4 different sound profiles which allow you to record directly in front of the mic, front and back, left and right, or a 360° area around the mic. (Compatible with PC and Playstation but not XBOX and Switch unfortunately...) This mic also attaches to most boom arms and uses a custom USB Type-C Cord to power it. The mic also sports a simple Touch-to-Mute button at the top of the mic. When the Light goes off, the mic is muted. When the light is on, its recieving audio. (I added an extra Pop Filter to the mic due to the built in one not being enough for my liking.)

The QuadCast S has proven to be a stellar addition to my setup, delivering exceptional audio quality for both recording and streaming. One of the standout features is the built-in shock mount and pop filter, which effectively reduces background noise and plosive sounds, resulting in crystal-clear audio. The customizable RGB lighting adds a touch of personality to my workspace, and the tap-to-mute sensor is not only convenient but also a clever design choice. Great microphone, good quality, very easy to use, and very modular with it's accessories. I appreciate the 4 directional audio settings that HyperX provides and adore the tap to mute setting although it's gotten a bit insensitive in the past months. The volume knob on the bottom is also quite the game changer, and HyperX's software is useful but not necessary. I was able to mount this to a 3rd party boom arm, but the baseplate does help for those who don't have or are unable to acquire one. It's very gaming and discord friendly and while it definitely needs some slight tuning to be better than your average desktop microphone, it'll be miles better by the time you're done testing and modifying the sound settings.

Good USB microphone. A lot of the price probably comes from the RGB, which make of that what you will. I've found that while you can just keep it off entirely, without it can be difficult to keep track of whether it's physically muted or not. Unless you are sensitive to sound and use mic monitoring by plugging your headphones directly into it. It's convenient that it comes with both a stand and an adapter to screw onto the shock mount to attach it to boom arm. I find it odd that the shock mount is screwed directly onto the mic, but I don't really understand the engineering of that so I won't make any broad, sweeping criticisms about that. It's overall been very good, but I've found that I've had issues with it on my new desktop setup. I have been unable to completely narrow down/figure out what exactly the problems are but my guess is that it has something to do with hardware acceleration settings and the amount of power required to power this microphone. Because of the adjustable RGB lighting on this version, it uses USB-C which from what I understand requires more power than the last model. After building my new PC, I found that for whatever reason, using certain software or doing certain things in certain software would cause most of my USB devices to experience power issues (like constantly disconnecting and reconnecting until I stopped doing whatever it was that caused it). I managed to MOSTLY stop/mitigate this issue by disabling hardware acceleration in the things that were causing it (the things that at least HAD the option to turn off hardware acceleration), mainly Discord and Google Chrome, and I also bought a USB 3.0 hub that plugs into the wall that I have everything plugged into now. But to this day the mic still experiences this issue as sometimes when I use ShareX to take a screenshot or just something random (it's pretty much always been something with screen capturing software from what I can recall at this moment) the mic will flicker and briefly disconnect before regaining connection, usually once I stop using ShareX, etc. I am unsure if the above problem is the cause of this next issue, which is a really minor one, but ever since I started experiencing these issues, every so often the HyperX NGENUITY software on Windows that is used to change the lighting settings, etc., will constantly tell me I need to update the firmware of the microphone, and I'll follow the instructions, only for it to just tell me to do the same thing some random number of times. From what I can tell after checking it in the settings, the firmware version isn't actually changing so I have no idea if something extremely minor got broken inside the mic from the power delivery issues. It's more annoying than anything; the mic still works fine more or less. The final issue I have with this mic, which is most of the reason I can't give this 5 stars is that there must be something wrong with the design of this mic in regard to static electricity. I live in a dry place in the US during the winter and sometimes I can feel the tingling of static electricity within the space between my ears and the earcups of my headphones. When I plug my headphones directly into the microphone, this static electricity is captured by the mic's monitoring and I can hear it as very loud, brief buzzing. It is at the end of the day an erratically occurring annoyance, and thanks to NVIDIA Broadcast it solves the biggest part of this problem which is that other people can hear it when I use VoIP software like Discord and so forth. If it weren't for NVIDIA's software this would be a tremendous issue that would make me even more frustrated with it. But anyways, I don't know if this is an issue with my headphones as well, as I don't have another pair to test this issue with. I have also read on places like Reddit that people experience this static electricity issue on other HyperX products, so this might just be a common problem among their product lineup. I also don't know if this mostly just me being unlucky with my living environment and the overall compatibility of all the hardware I've selected for my desktop. In summary, it's a good and easy to use USB microphone that sounds good enough. It's probably slightly overpriced, but hey what else would you expect from a gamer-targeted product like this?

Received this mic super quick through pick up and the quality is AMAZING! Absolutely worth the price and super easy set up! Going to need a mic arm eventually because this mic tends to pick up a lot of little noises (like keyboard clicks) even after changing the sensitivity settings. But that’s the only negative I can think of. The colors are bright, but it doesn’t hurt my eyes at all. The tap to mute is also very convenient :) Overall super satisfied with this mic!

Yes, I paid an extra $20 so I could have the option to turn off the LED while streaming, ha ha. I had the original QuadCast with bright red LEDs. The sound quality was top-notch. However, no matter where I put it on my desk near my voice while I was gaming, it was so hard not to get distracted by the bright red LED. So I returned the original QuadCast to get the QuadCast S. I think it's worth the additional $20 if LED color matching or simply turning off the LED when it's live is something worth a lot to you. With the QuadCast S, you get the same mic only that the rear connection is USB-C (thank goodness) and through the beta software, you can turn OFF the LED when the mic is live and leave the LED on when it is muted. So I have mine set to have a red LED on when muted, and off altogether when live. Such a welcome option. Especially if you just want a nice mic without the lights yelling out "LOOK! LOOK! THIS IS A GAMER MIC!" - lol. Overall, this mic is one of the best USB mics I've used so far (it surpasses my old Blue Yeti USB which is surprising, plus that thing is a HUGE mic and is quite the eyesore to look at). Note: Probably best to get an additional pop filter. Even though this mic is advertised to have a "built-in pop filter", it's not that great to be honest. Throw in another pop filter to adequately remedy any annoying 'plosives'. Also, get a boom arm for this mic :-)

This is my first good quality mic. There was a bit of a hiccup though in trying to get it, but the manager at the store I got it from helped me out and I managed to go home with it that day. The RGB is fun to mess around with on the HyperX application. You can either do a preset or customize the top half from the bottom half, lighting wise. Sound quality is amazing (but then again, I don't know anything else other than the old school Blue Yeti Snowball mic qualtiy). The white is to DIE FOR. Easily mounted to my mic arm with the included threaded adapter. The base (when not attached to the mic arm) is sturdy and made of metal, so you won't be knocking it over easily if you hit it. I love the mute button being on top with an easy touch functionality for muting/un-muting the mic (you can also customize the lighting to be on/off with each of those functions). Overall, BEST purchase I have made for my mic part of my streaming setup.

I love this mic, it's super nice and easy to tap the top to mute whenever I need to. The colors are cute and bring a nice little look to my desk. It's easy to adjust my own volume from the bottom of the mic without having to go into my sound settings. The only issue I do have, and I have no way of knowing if it is the mic itself or if there's complications with another application I have open, is that sometimes the tap for mute won't work. It is fixed by unplugging it and plugging it back in for me, but it doesn't happen often and doesn't really change my opinion of this great product too much. I wanted to write an honest review and I know that something like this might be more of a problem for some people depending on how their set up is! :) Extra: I also have it up on an arm and it stops from picking up any vibrations from the desk- no one hears anything extra or annoying from this mic!

I absolutely love this mic. Let’s first start off by saying that the quality of sound is so crystal clear and precise to my voice. I recorded multiple times just to ensure and whether the mic is close to you or far, the sound is pristine. Second, OMG does it look good. The colors are stunning and tbh it draws a lot of attention. We get compliments on the product and it is nice to know we now can made podcast at any moment. I originally got this for my wife, but quite frankly I might end up doing podcast myself. Amazing mic.

Last year I purchased the HyperX QuadCast S microphone and I'm pleased to rate it 4 out of 5 stars. This mic effectively suppresses unwanted noise on platforms like Discord and offers crystal-clear sound for Zoom calls, Microsoft Teams, and more. The touch sensor for muting is convenient, and the mic's four modes adapt well to different scenarios. The RGB lights add a nice touch. However, it's important to note that this mic requires speaking up close for optimal clarity, and the adjustable gain control isn't the strongest. Despite these minor drawbacks, the QuadCast S performs admirably.

I did a lot of research on an affordable quality microphone. This seemed to provide the best bang for the buck. I am using this to teach on-line and I have to say the sound quality is really good. I was worried I'd have to have it really close to my face, but I don't. It works great and looks pretty. I love that it is easy to tell when I have it muted. The only thing I wish is that it also came with a USBC to USBC cable. I was hoping one I had would work, but it doesn't so I have to use an adapter to connect it to my computer. The Best Buy price was $100 lower than any other place I could find this in stock.
