    This is so well built, and I feel like my hard drive is safe in it. I've bought other types of enclosures before that the hard drive is loose in, but this one is perfect. It holds the hard drive securely, and it transfers at true USB 3.0 speeds. If I ever had to get another hard drive enclosure, I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat!

    This enclosure with USB 3.0 connection speed allowed me to reuse my 500 GB internal hard drive which I swapped out of my MacBook Pro for a smaller but way faster SSD. But who doesn't want a half terabyte of external storage for $30 which this enclosure, on sale, made possible?

    I use this mainly for my Raspberry Pi as a storage drive. This is a great item and it works well, the USB 3.0 transfer rate is awesome (only get to see the 3.0 transfer rate on my windows box but its still nice) I can assure you it will at least take a 500 gb drive with no problem, and I would assume it can go as high as you can add.

    Purchased to test both an hdd and ssd that weren’t coming up on my new pc’s bios. I used just the end piece as an adapter between a laptop and the drives. Turns out the drives were fried. Will be keeping the enclosure to put an ssd in later on though. Quality product for the price!
