    This external SSD adapter was just what I needed to help clone my laptop over to a more powerful PC. It's not too expensive, and the build quality is pretty good. It's simple to use, and that's all that matter really.

    I had a Windows 10 based laptop computer that had a motherboard failure. I was able to take the hard drive out of it, place it in this enclosure, and retrieve all my necessary documents off the HDD. Now I have a great portable hard drive, small enough to take with me anywhere, and powered through a single USB connection.

    I needed to access the data from a hard drive on an old laptop. I purchased this item and the Geek Squad technician inserted the hard drive into the enclosure. I now can easily find all of my old files by connecting this item to my current laptop using a USB cable.

    This is an excellent case to reuse any laptop hard drive that you have swapped out, yet you still want to store data on it, or to make an external backup drive for your system. Plus the USB 3.0 is still compatible with systems that only have USB 2.0 (You just don't get the extra speed though)
