This is the second drive enclosure I purchased. it works flawlessly and worth the extra cost for the quality. The other product I purchased worked but I almost broke the drive installing it as it was poorly finished.

The geek squad rep recommended this to me so I could transfer my files from my old hard drive to my new MacBook air. After downloading everything I can now use it as an external hard drive and I saved $5 on it by recycling my old broken up laptop in the store

I used this to clone my Hdd onto my new ssd for my MacBook. Now I can throw my old hrs into it and use it for an external hard drive which makes it nice that it’s not a one time use item.

My motherboard crashed and this product enabled me to get back the data and transfer it to a new computer without too much delay.

The Insignia 2.5" drive enclosure is well made, small and very thin. The enclosure box contains a small screw driver that is very handy and a welcome surprise. An USB cable is included as well.

Works out great, already put it through the ringer. Needed to transfer data from two dead laptops, almost 2 TB total. Great buy, great price and the fact that this comes with the screwdriver is just an added bonus.

Great design. It is held together with a couple of screws, so its stable yet easy to swith hard drives.

With this enclosure I was able to access and save my data after my computer could not access it due to a problem with a Buggy Microsoft Windows 10 update.

This enclosure feels and looks flimsy and cheaply made, but it is solid enough to handle everyday handling. I connected a 2.5" hdd from a ruined laptop and it connected instantly. Decent value for the price, just don't sit on it.

Feels super solid, works perfectly. Wish there was a model with a fan, but you know what you're getting beforehand. Just don't try and use this on a drive that'll be in operation 24/7

If your looking for a cheap efficient, and effective way to clone your HD; this is the way to go. Extremely simple, and easy to use with step by step instructions. Even a cave man can do it!!

First time to transfer data from hard drive which Geek Squad removed and placed in this enclosure. Couldn't quite understand all the partitioning explained in the instructions, but still able to transfer files.

This case worked perfectly for me. I had a dual drive raid case and one of the drives went bad. This case allowed me to figure out which drive was bad and easily hook the good drive up to my PC

Needed a way to access my files, the PC would not recognized the Operating system and would not boot. Took the drive and placed it in the case, presto complete access to my files.. the world is saved!

The enclosure is well made and houses a solid state drive that was removed from a lame computer that died. Now, I at least have a portable HD that I can use and it actually works.

Worked wonderfully, super easy to set up. I connected it to my internal mac book HD and it connected with no issues.

Great value, protect the SSD. Only issues is that it is not easy to open it. You have to use screw driver. There are other brands that can be easily opened and closed without the need to use any tools

It has protected my hard drive very well. However, the USB cable connected to the computer is VERY sensitive and sometimes loses connection, which then requires having to restart everything.

Put old removed laptop drive-in for portable storage. A little tricky for large fingers but doable. Great for putting files and folders, and movies, that you do not need all the time.
