    This enclosure works well as housing for some of my bare SSDs. The first one I needed to return because the usb connecter was broken, but haven't run into any problems with the replacement.

    If you would like to turn an internal 2.5" or smaller HDD or SSD drive into an external access and storage drive, this is the product that will accomplish all or most of that for you.

    Worked great with the Samsung SSD I purchased for my Xbox One. Although I don't think it's 3.1 capable, I don't perceive any performance difference.

    I bought this with a SanDisk SSD. Although it was difficult to figure out the proper way to open it to insert and remove the SSD, it did a great job of making sure that it was protected while the information was transferred over.

    Got this due to a failing hard drive. Even though the drive was irreparable, I kept this enclosure because it will likely come in handy again! Great way to attempt to save hard drive.

    I recently upgraded my laptop to an SSD. I did not want to throw out my old HD so I bought the Insignia - 2.5" Serial ATA Hard Drive Enclosure to put my old HD in. It worked out great. I am able to connect to my old HD whenever needed.

    used this case for a slim hard drive with a damaged usb port. opened the damaged one and placed the drive inside this case and it worked perfect. saved data and cost of a new one.

    My computer crashed and I was able to retrieve my school work and other important files with this little gadget. I'm so relieved Best Buy had this hard drive.

    We had a little trouble at first, because the hard drive was locked. However we visited Best Buy again and they helped us get it working as it should have been. No problems since.

    I pulled my hard drive from a new laptop and replaced with a modern Electronic Hard Drive. I use the HDD in the cover for backups. Kinda convenient, eh?

    I had a net book that the battery went bad and the cost of a new one was just not worth it and all I wanted was to extract my photos and media and it did that with relative ease
