Wanted to replace HDD on laptop with SSD, so needed case for HDD after removal from laptop. Fit fine & allowed easy transfer of data files to new SSD.

My Macbook Pro crashed (motherboard), but drive was still good. Was able to use this enclosure to encase my old drive and transfer data using time machine to new Mac.

Not much to say about this enclosure, it’s sturdy and going strong after 1+ years. Installing your own SSD is a piece of cake with only a few screws.

I upgrade my laptop with a new serial ata internal solid state disk and put the old one into this enclosure. It works fine, the transfer rate is high. Good construction.

This enclosure is a great product; easy to use and quality material. The only downside was that it used proprietary usb 2 cable, which did not allow me to use a usb transfer cable for backup.

All you need is another computer to view your files: 4 screws, snap, and insert. Files retrieved! This option was a lot less expensive than my alternative. Tool included.

I purchased this in order to put my old harddrive in it and recover it. It worked splendidly, and keeps the rive fairly safe. I would recommend this item.

The build is good but the connector was very tight and bent when I was putting my hard drive in but still worked.

No frills devices, does exactly what it's supposed to. Easy to setup and use, inexpensive, works without any problems.

I had to remove data from an old, dead laptop. The most difficult part was removing the hard drive from my non working PC. Now it works like any other external drive.

Nice solid metal case. Accepts solid state drives. Saved my wife's data when her computer build crashed. Happy to fid it in stock the day after Christmas!
