    All user manuals are online only. This leaves you with about 4 lines of help if you have issues. The big deal is disable encryption or you're out of luck. As most disks are now defaulted by the os to enable it, be sure you turn it off before removing it from the computer. There does appear to be some ways to get around it - but it is arduous.

    It's a well made enclosure and feels as nice as and even better than most external HDDs. Works fine for a 2.5in HDD however I bought this enclosure to use an old SATA SSD as an external drive and my SSD has a read and write speed of 530+mbs and using this enclosure it was only getting 250mbs. Also for $30 I find this enclosure overpriced since a 1tb external drive will only cost you about $50.

    Take the bottom screws out and pop in a laptop hard drive. Now you can move the data to a new machine and use it as a portable hard drive.
