Needed a computer fast, but didn't have a lot to spend. Bought the ideapad 330. On the PLUS side, the hard drive is large and it has 8GB of memory. And I DO really like the non-glare screen (after finally figuring out how to make it full brightness while on battery). However... Performance is lackluster, but I kind of expected that. The fan is loud and constantly changing speeds up and down. But the big letdowns are the speaker volume and the battery life. Volume is about half of what it should be. Forget playing a game without some form of external speakers, if you want to get into it. Looks to be a common problem, with Lenovo simply ignoring everyone's complaints. But FAR worse is the battery life. Brand new and fully charged, I get about an hour's worth of simple Internet or local machine (not online) gaming. Even writing emails, text documents, etc, sucks the life out of the battery WAY too fast. I literally cannot take the laptop anywhere if there is a chance I'll need to use it for ANY length of time, without bringing the power cord along. Never seen anything like this, and will never buy another Lenovo because of it. And again, they are not addressing anyone's concerns on forums. Best part? There's no option to get an upgraded battery anywhere. Just have to live with it. Sad.

This little guy gets the job done. He holds my HDD and allows me to access the data. It's a little bit flimsy around the plugin, but otherwise does a good job. I've got two of them.

Did as I expected. I like the added light on the front to tell you when it is reading or writing data.

I use it with my old laptop hard drive. USB 3 interface makes data read and write very fast. Great to use as a backup drive. Thru put is faster than a USB 3 flash drive.
