    I have an older PC that lacked USB 3 support. I have 2 external drives that are USB 3 capable and I now enjoy much faster backup times. The ports could be a little tighter fitting though.

    My husband bought a cheap interface card online for under $10 from Newegg. It did NOT come with a cd or anything at all like it was suppose to and described. I bought this one for him and it worked PERFECTLY for the job he needed it for. Love Best Buy!

    Have problems with the computer recognizing the ports but that’s probably because it’s old and conflicting with other internal systems.

    Works as intended. Keep in mind though that the pci 1x slot this uses only has enough bandwidth for 1 port to run at full USB 3.0 speeds.

    I call it interesting because when I tried to plug it in I blew my mother board. The computer was off but still plugged in. I had the card a bit sideways and saw a spark fly. My fault.

    This worked perfect. I have an older PC, with a Pentium D Extreme Edition, and back at that time, USB 2.0 was the norm, there was no USB 3.0. I saw this as a sale at Best Buy and couldn't resist. So easy to install, opened the side panel, enter it into an empty PCI slot/bay and also make sure you give it power, (4 pin), and wow, I had a neat 3.0 USB port, not one, but two of them! Perfect for older PCs that can handle it. Thanks Best Buy!
