If you are running out of USB ports on your computer this is a good add on. The price is right and it is easy to install.

Easy to install additional USB ports for a desktop computer system. Does require a free PCIe x1 slot to install to.

plug it into the extra PCIe expansion port and forget about it...the way it should be.

I needed a couple of additional high speed USB ports. I inserted the Insignia PCI Exptress card in an expansion slot, rebooted the system and Windows 10 installed the driver. Off I went to connect another external HD. No problems since. Just wish that it was a 4 port card.

Installation a bit tight in my 5 yo box, but it was recognized by WIN7 and is functioning.

The card is good. It installs easily and there were no operational problems. You get two ports. I would have liked four ports, but that was not an option. The addition of two more ports would have gotten 5-stars.

the only down side is that it only has 2 ports. but thats all i required.

Unfortunately my PC power supply did not have a small white 4-cord power plug, I had to purchase an adapter. My USB transfer speeds did not go up that much faster. Turns out the weak link is my old PC motherboard. May not be worth the upgrade...

I had a hard time finding and loading the drivers for win 7.

It was a very good price for what you get. Not bad.

I bought this item because I have 2 external (3TB & 5 TB) hard drives that have connection for USB 3.0. After installing this card into my computer I noticed it has a mini 4 pin connector for electrical connection. My computer has a spare 4-pin mini connector which is not long enough. So far, I have spent approximately $20.00 buying extension cables that look like they have "mini" connectors when you look at them on the internet, but always arrive with the molex connector on the leading end when you order them. Best Buy nor the geek squad would offer any help in obtaining the correct cables. So, I guess my only alternative will be to return the interface card to Best Buy for a refund.

I was having problems with my computer running out of bandwidth on my USB ports. Got this new USB PCI express card and problem solved. Fast upgrade not to forget it is USB 3.0 (Really Fast )!!

Not sure if it’s the card or Windows 10, but the USB disks attached to this keep going off line when not accessed in a couple of hours. Doesn’t happen with on-board USB 2.0 ports.

Purchased this item to put in a Dell PowerEdge 2950 server so that I could perform backups faster. Works great with Windows Server 2008 R2. No problems at all -- it just works!

We were looking to upgrade a desktop computer to USB 3.0 and this worked perfectly. USB 3.0 is so much faster than 2.0. Great product, easy to install.

It's alright for a usb 3.0 flash drive but not anything with higher power requirements like a hard drive or capture card.
