Works, but.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cable has a small flaw. You have to shave off the side a bit so it will fit next to the power clip. It is such an easy fix. But if you do not want to shave off the side, don't buy this cable. You can see in the picture below how it fits perfectly after shaving off a little bit of the side.

Nice cable. Good price. One tiny flaw.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a $5 coupon and needed a SATA cable, so I bought this. It works. The tiny flaw is on the right angle plug. The plastic housing flares out by the sides of the plug. The SATA tab on internal hard drives is flush against the power tab. The power connector pushes against the flared side on the SATA, causing it not to plug straight, but skewed. It cracked the plastic on the plug. But it still works. I will try to cut off the part that sticks out so it will plug straight. Don't know why it's made this way.

Good quality cable with one minor problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cable has a straight connector on one end and a 90 degree connector on the other end. My server drive rack is hinged so you open it like a door. Any drive mounted in the rack requires the 90 degree connector be plugged into the drive. I discovered that the molded 90 degree plug is too wide at the bend to fit along side of the power connector. The fix was to take a sharp knife and shave the plastic that extends past the side of the actual plug. That allowed the cable to plug in along side of the power connector. The straight connector end is fine. If the 90 degree end is connected to the mother board there is no problem.

llength ok, connections firm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only serial cable in the store was in the Apple section. The length was a snug fit between the MB and SSD. The ends made a firm connection with the contacts. the cable is working properly. Check the length of the cable for your needs.

They work in a pinch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro's - They do work - 2' long - They're BLUE Con's - They're BLUE - The molding needs to be shaved off on the sides to fit it along side a power plug on an ssd drive etc. - The 90 degree bend is the opposite direction from all other similar cables I have. Notice the direction of the L. This could be listed under the Pro's section for some builds I suppose. - No Locking tabs. If you have your hands in the case for any reason, do yourself a favor and remember to push them back in firmly before putting the doors back on.

Great Length, okay quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Whenever I purchased the SATA data connector, I was skeptical of the price. However, due to the deal going on at the time, I was willing to purchase it. As the box advertised, the cable was 2 feet long and had no issues when the cord needed to maneuver in slim areas for wire management. The only downside that I found with this was the standard of quality. The sata connector had a tougher time connecting and being removed from the SATA ports on my motherboard then what I had anticipated. I usually get my SATA cords used, so I will presume that the stiff connection is normal. All and all, the price is worth it when you account for the length and the guarantee that the product is new.

Not Black
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The description says this cable is black. It is not. It is indeed blue as shown in the picture. I remedied the problem by using a black magic marker on the 1 inch that shows inside my computer case, Yes, as others have pointed out, it's difficult to get it connected side-by-side with the power cable in a drive-- but not impossible. And just to be clear, this is a SATA II cable. It says "3 Gbps" right on the back of the box. Best used for HDDs or (in my case) optical drives. I wouldn't advise using it with a SSD (you should use a SATA III cable for that). Otherwise, it gets the job done if your local Best Buy has it in stock and you don't want to (or can't) wait for a better one to be shipped to you.

Solid cable, bulky connectors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a SATA cable. It does its job. Depending on the size of the power connectors from your PSU and the layout of the SATA ports on your motherboard, the connectors can get in the way of some things. The right angle end won't fit on my drive alongside the power connector, and with some motherboard layouts, using the right angle end to connect to the motherboard will block some of the SATA ports. Fortunately, I've only ever needed the one port and one cable, so it hasn't been a problem. Just be prepared in advanced by taking a good look at your PSU connections and motherboard.

It works, it does what it's meant to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good product had no.issues with it at all.. The issue was with the employee''s attitude.. I asked if they had any Hard drive cables, what he asks.. I said a SATA cable for hard drives, he looks at the will.im.looking at and says nope, If we had it, it would be here.. BTW most drives come with a cable he says.. I looked at him and said no they dont... and walked away, as I was walking I went near the hard drives being sold and finally I see a cable there.. grab it and look over and tell the guy they are right here, I got it.. he looks confused

Works as expected, one side needs shaved down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As others have mentioned the right angle side needs to be shaved off slightly to allow it to properly fit into an SSD next to the power cable. If you're handy, you can use a razor blade to shave this down (be careful, of course), or, use the straight end on the SSD and the right angle on the motherboard. Whatever you decide, this cable will work, just note that some modification may be required.

It works
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cord itself works great. I'm giving it 4 stars because the one side that is a right angle doesn't fit very well with other cords. If you have a grouping of 4 ports in a square shape, you may have to sacrifice one of your ports to accommodate the angled plug. I couldn't plug that side into the SDD because the casing around the SATA plug was too wide.

Works like a SATA cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cable seems to work great and I assume it meets all the specs for data transfer. The only issue I had was when I went to install it the black 90deg end was too wide to fit next to the power cable on my HDD. I had to cut off a small amount of the side of the SATA connector with a knife for it to fit. This seems like an engineering error on the manufacturers part since I'm sure most HDDs have the data and power ports designed the same way.

It'll work, if you want the angle somewhere else
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mindlessly added this onto the hard drive I ordered, because I was having one failing on me. I saw this suggested and carted it immediately. I only saw angled connection, not the direction it faces. It won't fit my setup for how I need it, but I can probably find a use for it later. The angle is UP, not DOWN, like most PC builds SATA cables face.

Nice accessory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I replaced my hard drive, I also wanted to replace the cable. The cable included with the WD drive did not have a right angle connector, so I replaced it with this one to relieve stress at the connection. It connected easily and securely. The only thing I would have liked would have been a locking mechanism to ensure connection retention, but there hasn't been a problem so far.

Did what I needed but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked that this cable was 2ft in length and had the right angle. Most cables are only 6 in and they would not have fit. The drive it was being attached to was in a very difficult position to reach. I had to unplug three times before getting everything set. Well third time was luckily the last, the sidewall cracked off but the cable still held on so I left it alone.

Good SATA cable for adding 2nd hard drives
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cables are nice to have when adding a second hard drive or optical drive to your everyday desktop computer or just replacing a faulty or short cable of the same kind. NOT a good idea to add to a gaming computer as is NOT shielded to protect from the higher heat generated on those kind of computers.

Almost perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a cable as a first-time installer of an SSD. I didn't check the configuration of my computer before I bought this cable so the right angle shape was not a perfect fit for my computer. However I was able to get it to somewhat awkwardly fit and so far the SSD is working perfectly and the cable was a good purchase.

Useful for upgrading Hard Drives
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SATA internal SSDs and Hard Drives don't usually come with a MBoard connector cable like the old PATA drives. There are work-arounds, such as temporarily disconnecting the CD drive, to do a drive to drive transfer, but having a spare is even better, plus you can keep the old drive connected to the MBoard's secondary drive interface.

Works as intended
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews about the connector being upside down may be a factor for you. The way I routed my sata cables for cable management it was no issue, worked out perfect. Depending on your case or how you route your cables it may be an issue. But that is only if you are picky about a tidy case, if cable management doesn't bother you its no big deal

Simple and Easy;
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice and simple to use SATA cable. Sadly had to mount it a little different since my GPU was blocking my SATA ports on my MB and instead of the 90 degree going into my SSD and the straight connector into the MB, did it the other way round. Otherwise, nice and simple SATA cable that got the job done
