I read reviews before purchasing this freezer and honestly was a little worried about the "hard to open door" after reading so many complaints about it. After BestBuy delivered and set it up, the first thing I tried was the door. I like the fact that you need to put a little effort into opening the door. I don't have to worry about one of my nephews using the door handle as a swing and accidentally popping open the freezer door, causing loss of food. This fact alone gives me peace of mind.
