    Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever purchased. Broke after 1 month and now getting the run around from the manufacturer regarding a replacement. They want me to get an estimate for repair but not to follow through with the repair until they evaluate the cost to see if it’s cheaper to replace. Are you kidding me? It’s not returnable to the store. Glad I only spent 160 bucks on it because it looks like I’m going to have to eat it because no one will help. I wrote back telling them that I’m pretty sure between parts and labor it will cost more than the product itself.

    This was just what the doctor order. It’s small compact and ready for the garage. Then one day it just stop working out of the blue. Unplugged it and plugged it back in nothing. So now I’m in a panic trying to get another because I just went food shopping. Hopefully Bestbuy will take care of me.

    Dented down one side & Hinge cover mangled

    I bought this as a gift and the recipient just recently opened the box . I was so embarrassed to see that there was a dent going down the entire left side and one of the hinge covers was bent badly. They said not to worry about it, but when you pay for something NEW it shouldn’t look like it had been dropped and abused. Very disappointed… I wish I would have taken it out of the box and looked at it prior to giving as a birthday gift.

    Makes a high pitched sound that is driving me nuts. Not sure if it will stop , also had a big chip out of the front of it. So far disappointed

    I bought these freezer to keep my beers cold in the garage and I have perform adequately

    Pick up was great but by the time I got it home out of the vehicle and unpacked it I noticed a hole in the insulating rubber seal around the edge of the lid. I didn’t have the time or energy to pack it up get it back in my suv and return it. So I fixed it the best that I could and only time will tell if the fix is good enough. I suggest you check it before you leave the parking lot

    its okay but i wish i had been able to wait as i saw a 7 cubic foot for 149 yesterday. for 30 more i would rather have twice the freezer.

    Bought this freezer based on the great reviews and great price. After 16 months the unit stopped working. Opened the side panel to see if there was an obvious issue (like a loose wire). Noticed the switchboard to the compressor sparks during the startup cycle when plugged in. I called Insignia's customer support to see if anything could be done. I was told that based on the unit failing at 16 months and the manufacture warranty being at 12 months nothing could be done. Costumer support was nice, but not being out $185 and a freezer would have been better. I'll never buy from Insignia again. I would never recommend this product based on it failing just outside the warranty.

    We were very happy with the freezer until it stopped working sometime over this past weekend. We discovered all of the food thawed Monday morning, May 18, 2020. We purchased the unit on 9/1/2018.

    This deep Freezer Does not keep your food frozen I put my food that was in my regular freezer in it and after being in for 2days my food all defrosted it just kept it cold like being in a refrigerator.

      Hi Kimmie. I completely understand the frustration of getting some food ruined by a malfunction. This very well may be caused by a defect on this particular unit that would be covered on it's 1-year (365 days) warranty.     Worked great for 16 months, then no more cold

    This small freezer worked perfectly for just over a year (one year warranty, go figure) then one day I went to get something out and nothing was frozen. It has power but the compressor never turns on. Until then it was a 5 star product, inexpensive and worked great, but I really expect more than 16 months of life out of a freezer. Want to guess what brand I will not be buying again?

    Buy new freezer @ 15 months

    Do NOT Buy this freezer!! Thought I did my homework, looked at reviews on line as well as in Consumer Reports and thought this is a small basic freezer, should do the job. However within 15 months of purchase it stopped working (warranty 12 months). And to get it fixed would cost more than it cost in the first place. Spoke with a Best Buy representative and basically, that is how it goes. You win some, you loose some, and, as a customer I just through a couple hundred bucks on an poorly manufactured product, plus a freezer full of food.
