With the built in Blue-Ray player this TV is already Netflix ready. Great picture for price level. The only problem is once in awhile the remote fails to work. I recommend this product to anyone.

Being able to purchase a 32" Flat Screen with a built in Blu-Ray/DVD Player was a GREAT BUY! It may not carry a "Big/Well-Known" Brand name but Best Buy makes up for that by offering a 2-Year Warranty - With Out the Extra Year included in the Warranty, I would not have even TRIED an "Insignia" -AND- As with ALL Electronic purchases, including the "Major Brand Names, you run the risk of having problems thru-out the time you own it. I had a problem and Best Buy took care off it right away and I no longer have the problem The fact that it has DIRECT Internet Access to such Website as NetFlix n Pandora is a plus that required very little effort to activate and use. AWESOME TV, Price and Back Up Service from Best Buy! I give it an 'A' !!!

Good idea, not so well executed. Sound problem.

TV is a great concept (watching TV, watching BD, watching Netflix) all without additional hardware. But it needs tweaking. Channel changing is a little slow, menus are slow and awkward, and given its internet connection, it could certainly offer more internet features (i.e. youtube). Other reviews say the BD player is loud, but mine is not at all. Picture quality is great. Generally I am happy with my purchase, except for the below issue: My biggest problem with this TV is some kind of built-in defect, hopefully just with the firmware. If you tell the TV to use external speakers, it turns off the internal speakers and disables volume control (fine, since you are using your external audio system for sound). However, as soon as I change channels, or switch to a different function (TV to DB for example) the external sound turns off, and the TV speakers turn on at FULL VOLUME! I can't turn it down because volume control is still disabled (it thinks it is still using external speakers). The only way to fix it is to go back into the menus and switch to internal speakers and back, or turn the TV off an on. I've looked this up and it happens to many, if not all, these TVs. Apparently Insignia is aware of this now, but if they don't offer a fix in the next couple of weeks, I'm bringing this back.

This is perfect for a kids playroom

First HDTV (1080) I know of that has a built in Blue Ray player and is under $500. I used my $100 of home consultation coupon so I picked up for $400+tax. An excellent buy for anyone with kids. No need to connect anything. The wifi set up is easier than setting up game consoles. Also, the trusurround is excellent. If you are looking to upgrade the kids TV and need a solid but inexpensive solution, I recommend this TV. I have a Sony XBR (That I love) and I believe this can compete with it in many ways.

Bought it for my kids room, 2 wires (power and cable), 1 remote, easy to setup. Easy to use. Keeps the room clean, with it wall mounted my younger kids can't pull it down or mess with a separte Blu-Ray player, etc If you are looking for simple setup and decent quality, this is it. (wish they made a slightly larger 42" or so version!)

Very nice picture quality and great price. Used as a TV for the playroom. Controls are a little difficult for the kids but not too bad for one about 7-8 years old. Picture quality is comparable to more expensive brands sounds is about what is expected for a thin LED. One nice feature on something that is often overlooked is that there a blue LED at the blu-ray player indicated that there is a disc loaded. Keeps the kiddos from trying to double load a disc.

The picture, sound and ease of use is wonderful. The Blue Ray player is easy to use, but does make a humming sound during the start up that is a bit annoying.

right out of the box had the stand on & scanning channels in 2 minutes. Only have coax cable feed (no box) so only getting 720 at best. Picture is Excellent. Even on SD channels, since smaller screen, picture still good. Enough options thru remote to adjust for different viewing to optimize quality. On the 720 channels picking up, the picture IS exceptionally vibrant. Didnt have any DVD/Bluray to try as I just moved back into a renovated condo & am using this as a temp unit, eventually to use in my BR. Bought this same unit for my Kid for Xmas, & his experience has been exceptional. No problems, quality of Pictur excellent & quality thru his disc exceptional. Buy it!!

I bought the television mainly because it had the built in blue ray player. The tv was difficult to set up because it was not compatible with my cable system remote and I had to program the tv remote to work as a universal remote which drove my significant other crazy! We were using the tv in the bedroom so it was hard to use the remote in the dark because the remote was so full of buttons that were now being used for different functions that it was impossible to work the remote in the dark. If the wrong button was pushed accidentally the tv would leave the hdmi setting and then the picture would go out. The factory settings were not right and we had to adjust the color. This tv was made in China, totally different than a tv made in Japan. I kept the tv for almost 3 weeks hoping I would get used to it but I finally returned it and got a Samsung which I set up in under 5 minutes and I totally LOVE it! The Insignia tv was everything I was looking for in theory but in actuality it just fell short. We love the Samsung so much we don't want to get out of bed!

Playing blu-ray movies, and monitor for my pcgames

I got mine not more than a month ago. So far so good! I like watching my blu-ray movies. I like playing PC games like star craft 2. Connecting my laptop to this TV for a bigger screen makes me want to play it longer. I just wish this blu-ray/tv combo have a bigger version, maybe a 36 or 40 inch.... TV timer is cool too, but better if there's like an alarm that you can set specific time it turns on/off. My cable remote does not turn my TV On (unlike my older TV), maybe the remote is not compatible.

    Great valueon a nice TV

I've had this TV for about three months now and I love it. It is mounted on a half wall over a bar/counter. We can pivot it between the kitchen and the living room. This is one of the few TVs that offered a built in blu-ray player. Its not as thin as an LED TV, but considering what is built in, that's ok. I expected to have to run a LAN cable to it, but suprise, it has wireless built in, too. Picture quality is great, the sound is not a problem, the digital tuner allowed us to discard the box our cable company sent and the web content is terrific. We rarely use the Pandora, but we use the Netflix a lot. There is a few second delay when changing channels. I don't know if that is the TV or if it is common among digital tuners. The other downside is the remote doesn't light up. That would be nice, as it is a bit unwieldy. Overall great value.

If sound quality isn't a huge issue for you, this is a great tv. It has a Wi-Fi connection to the internet and has really good picture quality. I am not crazy about the sound quality but as we have had the same issues with Insignia before we weren't surprised. We have a small house so we don't need anything that you can hear 2 miles away.

It was really more than expected. Usually items are described and may not deliver what is promised but this item keeps its promises. I've read that the sound isn't that good but its better than other more expensive TV's I've purchased. The picture is great and you can see both HD and regualr program side by side and the differences are spectacular. I was worried about Insignia's quality but now I'm sold on Best Buys home brand. You won't be let down with this product. The blue ray player that is built in plays both DVD's and BR's perfectly. I love the netflix and pandora that hooked up in less than ten minutes. I can listen to great music from Pandora and not my cable company.

I bought this TV to use as a computer monitor for my home office. I connect it to my laptop when I need extra room to lay out a project. I also enjoy it as a TV and Blu Ray player when I'm just relaxing. The picture quality is very good. The only negative thing I have to say is that to find the controls and setup for internet / Netflix you need to be in Blu Ray mode. That probably made sense to the designers, since those features are probably all part of the same component. But it took me at least half an hour to find those menus despite looking it up in the manual.

This TV is good and bad at the same time. Pro's--- its got a blu-ray player, netflix and pandora built in, and wireless N connectivity. It looks good and sounds good. Con's --- Everything about this TV is slow. *It takes about 2 minutes to come one once the power button is hit. *If you don't hit the eject button at the right time on start up count on waiting 3ish minutes before you can get your movie out. * Netflix takes about 2 minutes to load. **side note: I thought this was due to my old router, New router with faster N technology and still the same Netflix speed. All that being said I would buy another, if we needed another small TV.

Built In Blu Ray is a bit noisy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This TV is for our bedroom. We connect to our Wi-Fi network and listen to Pandora and watch Netflix without problems. My chief complaint would have to be that when you insert a blu-ray disc it makes a lot of noise and sometimes the noise continues well into the movie. I'm not not picky, so I can live with this, but I know others are much more into perfection than I am.

I bought this TV as a Birthday Gift. I had it installed and connected to the Internet within 5 minutes. The picture quality is great. Streaming Netflix is very cool. I also bought a Blue Ray Player for another TV. The Blue Ray player had more APPS than this TV does, so I guess my only suggestion would be that Insignia had more apps like Sony does (ie. Crackle TV).

I was amazed at the great picture quality especially the HD and in watching blu-ray movies. This was a great choice for the space I had to put it, the size of the room and the price I paid. I don't think I would have gotten anything better.
