No kind of reset would restore it. It's unfortunate. We have a 1-year old version, and it works fine.

I can turn it back up and it stays there for a few hours before doing the same thing.

Fire tv

Never had to wait 5 minutes for a modern tv to turn on. Tv has HDMI ports, but still can't figure out how to change the input even though I've never had issue with doing that to any other tv. The Fire system is terrible. This is my first experience with Fire platform, and i am extremely unimpressed. Picture quality does not appear to be full HD. My 2006 Toshiba laptop has a better picture than this tv. Debating on returning the 3 tvs i bought for xmas as they are truely the worst tvs ive ever bought, and I've bought tube tvs back in the day. It is that bad.

The picture quality was 2 stars, returned it for Samsung!!!

Don’t buy these open box

One was cracked in the middle. The other was covered in dog hair and it wasn’t the tv that was supposed to be in there. Bestbuy refused to refund me my money because it was over 14 days. They do not check their returns and just slap security tape on it to get over on customers that go beyond their 14 day return period.

They charge a 15% restocking fee for a return. My old TV was described as a 37" TV and that was exactly how wide it was.

Slow TV.

It is slow to even turn the volume up or down. Forget about the built-in apps. Even slower. You accidentally hit the button 3 or 4 times thinking that it didn't work only to have it react 5 to 10 seconds later. I waited too long to return it or I would have. I have performed the recommended reboot/reset multiple times to no avail.

Cracked screen upon arrival.

1.5 years and died

The controller quit working or so i thought. I did all the controller reset directions and nothing. Bought a new controller from Best Buy and it did not work either, so that means the TV is broke. This TV does not have any control buttons to by-pass the controller. Only has a 1 year warranty so screwed there. TV worked fine up til it didn't. Would not recommend this TV.

Unit looked good, box was not damaged, but once i powered it up you could see cracks all across the screen and no picture. As this was for a new home it was not used immediately so it is now passed the return date even though it says sept 7 for the purchase date. I guess you don't actually get 30 days.

Died after 14 months

Within 6 months the right third of the screen had lost resolution, had some visible horizontal lines. Stayed like that until July 2023 when one day the entire screen developed the same horizontal lines, and later that same day the entire screen went mostly black. Barely made it past the 1 year warranty.

Smart TV terrible pixels

I have a Dell monitor next to it for my computer, and they are both supposedly 1080p, but the Dell looks 10x better, the icons look so blurry and color ranges look terrible, so bad that after 6 months I bought another Dell monitor as I couldn’t stand it anymore. It works, and sound is only ok. Feels like a piece of junk. Don’t buy
