It's a little bigger than I expected. It is quiet, reasonably attractive for a desktop appliance. it makes a ton of ice. First cubes are out in roughly 10 minutes. It's a sturdy, well built machine. I'd recommend it. Definitely filled in the gap when my ice maker in my fridge went toes up.

Quieter than I thought it would be. Goes well with the rest of my stainless steel countertop appliances. Makes a decent amount of ice in just a few hours. Don't recommend leaving on overnight though as this is an ice maker and not a freezer. The ice will eventually melt but then it does, it goes back and becomes new ice again, which is a nice design. We just place a plastic bin in our freezer to empty the ice into and we always have ice available. No longer have to buy bags of ice since the ice machine in our Samsung refrigerator refuses to work consistently without freezing up.

The ice maker operates quietly. The cubes are consistent in size. It makes ice very quickly. We make extra to put in the freezer to fill our cooler when we have parties. Overall very happy with this purchase.

It was good fast and with a selection of ice sizes. When using it wit tap water, the ice had a Clorox flavor, so I started using bottled water. I didn’t use that much ice so it was a device wasting electricity all the time. Stopped working the day before I could return it, so I recovered the investment. Recommendation: clean it every week.

I was very skeptical of buying a portable Ice Maker but when the ice maker in our refrigerator went out I bit the bullet and bought the Insignia, why this model you ask? I wanted one that could supply our family and guests but most all were sold out or on backorder except for this one and it did have decent reviews so we bought it. This has to be cleaned with a few fill ups and emptings but after that every 10 minutes it makes ice now the ice bin isn't very large so make sure to bag it and store it each time it gets full or else it will stop making the ice and the ice made will melt and recycle the water

Has worked really well, Christmas gatherings went well and we had enough ice. Quiet and the lighted instruments help me know when I need to add more ice or ice bucket is full. I got it on sale after looking everywhere.

I’m happy with this purchase, it works just as advertised and is much quieter than I expected. It’s definitely good for a constant supply of fresh ice and I really like being able to adjust the size of the cubes as needed.

I've used this for my camper, bar, and to supplement the refrigerator on those hot summer Texas days. It works great. We used to spend $15/day in ice alone when we were camping so this paid for itself on the first trip. Highly recommend

It's a nice ice maker, my automatic ice maker doesn't work and we use it for ice. Only thing I don't like is the water has to me removed when it reaches a level below water level. But it is easy to use, just fill to water line and it does the rest!

My ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer doesn’t work so well anymore and jams up. So I bought this to fill it up. Works great. I make more ice every few days and fill up the freezer ice maker. My kid loves the ice from it and makes sure I keep it supplied. Also great for when we have company. The ice tastes much better than the freezer ice maker did as well. The main trick I have to remember is that the ice can be soft or slightly wet after made so I have to break up the ice after putting it in the freezer so it won’t clump together when the freezer freezes it more solidly. If I remember to do that it works great and has solved my ice issues.

My fancy Samsung french door refrigerator has a piece of crap ice maker so I went looking for a solution. This machine does just what it should. Makes ice fast and efficiently and was reasonably priced. I am happy with my purchase so far.

I purchased this icemaker because my fridge no longer made ice and ice made in trays left a funny taste in my mouth. This portable icemaker makes ice with no aftertaste, makes it fairly quickly. I don't see much difference in the size settings and you can't leave the cubes in there for later use or they will melt so you need to transfer them to the freezer if you're not going to use them right away. It would be good to make advance ice for a gathering as long as you have room in your freezer

3 sizes. Easy to use. Fills my ice needs! Once full we empty into ziplock to keep in a fridge freezer so the machine can keep working its magic!

Best purchase I have made in years. Very easy to use and to clean. The ice is made quickly. I would recommend it to anyone. Insignia quality is tops.

It creates a lot of ice quickly, but it definitely doesn’t stay frozen as long as ice from a freezer. If you’re looking to make it & transfer it to a freezer, it’s quite wet & sticks together easily.

This ice maker is much bigger than my previous one. It seems to work exactly the same but will fill at least two YETI tumblers rather than just one. It is perfect for the office as I refill it with bottled water and use as needed. No water line needed because you just pour in the water and it recirculates!!!

Works great, isn't too loud. Did run into one issue that might seem obvious to other folks, but if you put in distilled water, the "Add Water" sensor will think you need to add water even if you already have. Thought the machine was broken when really the sensor just didn't have the necessary conductivity. This machine needs bottled/tap water, reverse osmosis or distilled water won't work.

Received this ice maker for Father's Day to use in our motorhome. Since I live in the motorhome during the week due to work and go home on weekends, this ice maker is great. Texas is hot and having ice always available is great. I first thought I would need to save ice in the freezer, but this machine will keep up nicely with the needs of 2 people nicely. There is always ice for us.

Good value if you are using the ice as it is made. If you are looking for one that you can make and store ice in, this one doesn’t do the job. Cubes start melting after made. You have to move them into the freezer right away, and that is too late. They are wet as the basket doesn’t keep them frozen all the way, so when you pout them into the freezer to store them, they freeze together and require excessive picking to remove. I am returning mine for this reason alone. Other than that, for instant ice use at a party it works great!

Not a lot to complain about, it does everything it says it does perfectly. Makes ice very fast, and keeps it pretty well with out It being refrigerated. The fan is a little noisy, that's the only small complaint.
